We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Business Development Representative with a vision for how to build an outbound sales function and a bias for action. As we newly embark on creating this outbound prospecting and lead development arm of Brilliant, you will be responsible for first stepping into the newly created role of outbound BD (or Business Development) and honing it, creating a repeatable process, and working closely with the existing BD team to generate opportunities within Enterprise prospects, and customers.

You will sell Brilliant’s corporate gifting and branded merch platform to companies of all sizes, from 200 employee startups to 10,000 person global corporations. Within every organization, there are typically 5-7 buying centers who can benefit from working with Brilliant Brilliant. We support employees who own gifting in HR, Sales, Marketing, Brand, Procurement and more (there are so many fish in the sea!). This role will be a blend of prospecting into existing Enterprise customers and net new prospects. For new prospects, you will be responsible for generating opportunities and working closely with our Enterprise BD leader to move deals through the pipeline.

In this role, you will:

Help to define and monitor the necessary inputs to achieve targets for the BDA team
Identify potential market opportunities, develop target prospecting account lists, and work with lead generation partners to build prospect lists, run initial warming campaigns
Generate and qualify leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, events, and subcontracted lead generation services
Keep the pipeline full of qualified prospects and convert those prospects into handoffs
Create and execute plans to nurture leads that are not ready to purchase and re-engage leads that were previously warm

Important points of collaboration:

With our Enterprise BD Director to prioritize the highest value prospects and collaborate on a plan of attack
With our VP of Sales to build a repeatable process so we can intelligently grow this team
With our Marketing team to develop compelling prospecting and lead engagement presentations and to inform and support prospecting efforts from Marketing
With our Client Services team to ensure successful project handoffs that convert to revenue and satisfied clients
With our Product team to to fully understand our platform offerings to help determine who to prospect and what information will be more compelling to those audiences

About you:

You have 2-5+ years of experience in B2B sales, with a proven track record of success
You have experience proactively prospecting into large organizations
You are comfortable with ambiguity and adapting to process that changes as progress is measured
You’re willing – nay, eager! – to get your hands dirty at first (no job too small!) until you can justify scaling your team by delivering results
You are focused maniacally on selling – your main passion is pursuing revenue, not org-building
You’re an xperienced user of growth technology (SFDC systems, productivity tools and marketing automation tools)

Experience: 2-5+ years experience working with a B2B sales organization

Education Required: Bachelor’s from an accredited college or university

Base: $70,000 + $30,000 incentive comp (starting incentive comp expected for hitting quotas)

Mobilization is a long term, continual project of identifying and recruiting volunteers, moving those volunteers up a ladder of engagement around national voter contact priorities and building specialized teams of volunteers that can scale up quickly and easily at peak times of volunteer engagement.

Mobilization works alongside Swing Left’s community organizing program, which supports local volunteer leaders to build, lead, and engage groups of volunteers in their communities to help elect Democrats in the most competitive races.

The Mobilization Associate reports to the Senior Director, Mobilization and is an at-will position that we anticipate will end after the 2024 election cycle, with the possibility of extension.

Swing Left is a national grassroots organization working to elect Democrats in the most competitive federal and state elections. We make it possible for anyone to make a big impact on the elections that determine the balance of power in our country, by volunteering and donating in key races. Since launching in 2017, Swing Left volunteers have raised more than $80 million for Democratic candidates, civic organizations, and voter mobilization efforts, and made more than 44 million combined phone calls, door knocks, and handwritten letters sent to voters via its affiliate Vote Forward and their partners.

About Vote Forward

Vote Forward is a nonpartisan organization that builds tools to encourage Americans to vote. We work to increase the participation of traditionally underrepresented groups in the electorate, and to increase civic engagement among the public at large by supporting the volunteers working to engage these voters. Since 2018, more than 250,000 grassroots volunteers have used the Vote Forward platform to send handwritten letters to more than 30 million prospective voters to encourage them to register to vote and turn out for elections. Vote Forward is closely affiliated with Swing Left.

Hiring process overview

Responsibilities

Support the implementation and execution of mobilization programs for Swing Left and Vote Forward

Support the implementation and execution of virtual events; develop content, communicate with event attendees to address needs and help manage the end-to-end experience
Manage the Capacity Volunteer Team, a group of volunteer leaders who support our national virtual events
- Coordinate the team’s coverage of tasks by assigning ownership and project managing the distribution of responsibilities; develop and maintain relevant training and reference materials for team members
- Manage the team’s work to engage with attendees ahead of, during, and in follow up to national events
Support the Vote Forward Helpdesk to respond to Vote Forward volunteer inquiries
- Support the execution of processes for user account vetting and administration of general support for volunteers—troubleshoot technical needs, communicate policies and the reasoning behind them, provide letter writing guidance, and intake feedback and questions—ensuring compliance with messaging guidelines
- Develop and maintain saved responses for outbound communication
Support Vote Forward community event hosts to plan and execute letter writing events; communicate via Slack, email, and meetings to answer questions, provide insight, and address needs
Support the planning process for mobilization programs and events in collaboration with Senior Director, Mobilization

Support the Swing Left organizing team to implement and execute Get Out The Vote efforts

Working at Swing Left and Vote Forward

The Mobilization Associate is a full-time, exempt, and remote position that we expect to end after the 2024 cycle, with the possibility of extension. The pay range for this position is $62,000 - $64,000/year.

There is minimal travel expected for this position. There may be an opportunity to support an in-person organizing event in the fall, depending on location. Organizing related travel plans are made in collaboration with the staff member.

We provide cost of living compensation increases at the beginning of each year. In addition to health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits, Swing Left and Vote Forward’s benefits package includes a professional development fund, a remote work fund, and a technology stipend for all employees. We have an unlimited time-off policy, a flexible medical and parental leave policy, and our office is closed for approximately 25 business days each year. The annual base salary range is $115,000 – $135,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. The Project Controls Specialist works under the guidance of our Project Controls Leadership and in partnership with our Operations Team to provide a single point of contact for Cost and Schedule across a portfolio of projects. This role will include preparation and maintenance of various Project Controls tools including but not limited to Cost and Resource Loaded CPM Schedules, Project Forecast Sheets, and 4 Week Lookahead Reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and maintain project schedules across multiple projects/portfolios
Work with the project team to build initial project schedules that includes high level of detail and sub-schedules
Monitor progress and produce accurate projections of time and cost
Load and trend both cost and resources into the project schedules
Conduct monthly forecast review meetings across multiple project teams
Perform Quality Assurance on project forecasts across multiple projects/portfolios
Regular travel to project sites to engage with project teams. Expected travel twice monthly
Ensure accurate earned cost/revenue and cost to complete values in project forecast sheets
Hold project teams accountable for effectively utilizing project controls tools and track utilization for reporting to Director of Project Controls
Attend, participate, and contribute to cost forecast meetings; take meeting notes, track open points, and manage follow-ups
Support Operations with verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are correctly accounted for
Identify trends and recommend actions based on sound financial and schedule analysis
Produce and analyze 4-week lookahead reports
Attend and participate in team meetings both remotely and on the jobsite
Develop reports to aid and enhance performance of project teams
Create databases and tools that will provide further insight into CS Energy’s project portfolio
Present project plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders within technical space and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams
Help identify and implement cost and schedule process improvements
Interact with subcontractors and clients, as necessary

Minimum of 3 years of experience in EPC project controls

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited university or college preferred
Experience planning and scheduling with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
Experience with project forecasting
Energy/Power construction markets experience is preferred
Experience with Forensic Schedule Analysis is a plus
Certification related to Project Management (PMP, PSP, etc.) is a plus
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access/SQL (ability to build databases highly desired) Experience with building PowerBI dashboards is a plus
Strategic thinker with a track record for developing innovative solutions to difficult Business problems
Diligent, dedicated and detail oriented
Demonstrated ability to deliver while handling large numbers of diverse tasks
High energy level - self-starter
Technical knowledge of product lines and associated systems
Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Required Qualifications:
Thorough understanding of subcontracting principals in government contracting
Experience in FAR/DFAR
Strong understanding of various contract types with experience managing cost type subcontracts
2+ years experience supporting customer proposals
Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with organizational, analytical, and project/time management skills
Ability to effectively communicate with proposal leaders, proposal authors, and Business Development personnel, as well as other functions across the organization
Experience with Microsoft office suite with proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power Point
Must be detail oriented with the ability to work well with a proposal team in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, as required, to meet proposal schedule and to accommodate meetings across several time zones
Critical attention to detail

Education:

A Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field
