Responsibilities And What You Will Do:
Reports to the Graphic Design Manager and Supervisor for assignments.
Handle materials such as footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and other visual effects.
Reordering and fine-tuning the content to ensure the logical sequence and smoothness of the video.
Improving and correcting lighting and coloring.
Ensure the quality of video content reaches a high standard.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Must be available to volunteer 8-10 hours a week.
Proficient in editing software programs.
Must already own any video editing software.
Editing Experience Required.
Training in multimedia and communications is helpful.
General understanding of computers and digital equipment.
Ability to take and follow direction, while also having a creative eye for improvements.

Assistant Film Editor (travel Video) Intern [fully Remote]
ASSISTANT FILM EDITOR (TRAVEL VIDEO) INTERN [FULLY REMOTE]
Length: Summer/Fall 2021 (with the possibility for advancement and additional time/opportunities)
Location: Fully Remote – part time - 20hrs/wk minimum
To be eligible to participate in the internship program, you must be:
- an active student participating in an undergraduate program receiving course credit;
- an active student participating in a graduate program; or
- a recent graduate within 6 years of graduation
This position is unpaid, but you will receive college/educational credits for your work, if needed.This internship will be a mentorship program where you will work with and get direct advisement from the founder of TASTE.

An internationally award-winning food documentary series. We film the uncovered, true stories about food entrepreneurs worldwide.
Our TASTE documentary films include dictator-fighting restaurateurs in Myanmar, Michelin-starred chefs in Europe, snail farmers in Vienna, hunters in Borneo jungles, cricket farmers in Thailand, Jewish bakers fighting anti-Semitism in Budapest, and many more.

About the Assistant Film Editor (Travel Video) Intern Role:
As an assistant film editor, you will create two or three TASTE travel videos.

You will work closely with Kevin Longa (the founder of TASTE) via phone calls, emails, texts, etc. (all remote work) on every step of the video editing process, including but not limited to:
- making selects
- selecting & transcribing soundbites
- providing story and editorial feedback on rough draft narration voiceover scripts, which Kevin Longa will write
- creating rough draft edits
- creating a final cut
- producing subtitles
- producing <1 minute teaser videos that will correspond with and help promote your travel video on social media
Ultimately your work will be posted on the TASTE YouTube channel, Instagram, Facebook and/or Amazon Prime.
Sample Tasks & Qualifications:
- Quality control all incoming and outgoing film, video, and audio assets
- Review footage, pull selects, build radio edits and create rough & final draft videos
- Create and share Adobe Premiere Pro project files and video exports.
- Applicants should have a high attention to detail and be organized, motivated, and self-directed (this is essential!)
- Identify and troubleshoot technical problems
- Uploading materials to YouTube, Vimeo and WeTransfer
- Experience and knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent, professional NLE program) is an absolute must.
- Eagerness to learn.
- Stellar writing and storytelling skills.
- Ability to edit to music and rhythm is required and absolutely essential
