Meet the team 

Accurate and highly available information about the vehicle ego-motion and localization is central to ensure an adequate functioning of the virtual driver software of an autonomous truck. Core functionalities such as environment perception and prediction, as well as motion planning and control, strongly rely on this information to guarantee that the vehicle executes a collision-free driving plan. Accordingly, our ego-motion and localization modules are responsible for supplying reliable ego-motion and localization state estimates even in the presence of external disturbances, sensor imperfections, and system degradation.  

As part of the ego-motion estimation and localization team, you will be able to design, develop, and release sensor fusion algorithms for the real-time estimation of the vehicle pose, velocity and acceleration. You will also gain a deep understanding of not only self-driving technology, but also its real-world challenges and how to convert such technology into real products. 

What you will do: 

  • Execute full software development lifecycle activities using modern C++, including developing and releasing robust and reliable solutions to ego-motion estimation and localization problems 
  • Analyze and improve the current ego-motion estimation and localization algorithms, ensuring our self-driving vehicles have the best ego-motion and localization accuracy to drive safely and smoothly on the road 
  • Define software requirements, design software architecture, and develop robust verification strategies to guarantee the effective development and quality assurance of our software solutions 
  • Integration of software standards and safety requirements into the ego-motion estimation and localization software 
  • Collaborate with a creative team of engineers and researchers to solve multi-disciplinary problems 
  • Improve how our vehicles act and react in complex and nuanced situations 

What you will need to succeed: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, robotics, aerospace engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in C++ programming, as well as solid Python programming skills
  • 4+ years industry experience in robotics, software engineering or relevant PhD degree
  • Experience with inertial navigation, GNSS, statistical estimation or sensor fusion
  • Solid background in SLAM, visual odometry or computer vision
  • Experience with nonlinear optimization frameworks such as GTSAM, CERES, g2o

  • Experience : 5 plus years of experience in the software, manufacturing, distribution, or accounting industry is preferred. Experience using and supporting any ERP (QAD, SAP, Oracle ERP, Ms Dynamics 365) or other business software applications is desired.

  • Computer skills :Demonstrated ability to continually learn and adapt to new products and technologies.  Working knowledge of (elements of) the QAD technology, platform and language stack is required (Progress, Java, Javascript/Typescript, HTML, Unix, …).   • Managing an SE team from consultative to technical qualification to value-driven GTM execution
  • Nurturing and being the role model of a positive outlook, can-do attitude, and growth mindset, while leading and keeping the SEs motivated in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Using your executive engagement skills and presence, with an ability to establish strong relationships with key decision makers and build credibility at all levels.
  • This will be a customer-facing role, getting in front of technical & executive champions regularly and leading EBCs with important customers
  • Providing guidance to revenue leaders on sales strategy, product obstacles/gaps and representing the team’s needs to executive staff
  • Interpreting complex problems, creating simple solutions, and collaborating closely with prospects, channel partners, and our sales team to deliver winning solutions
  • Building processes to measure the performance and impact of the SE team and ensure that the team is optimized to meet rapidly evolving business needs
  • Staying abreast of industry trends, and competitive dynamics, and leveraging this knowledge to shape strategy around user engagements 
  • Representing Snyk at industry events and conferences, customer business reviews, and contributing to new ideas and industry best practices
  • Championing the voice of our customers to influence product direction and feature priorities

 

What You’ll Need:

  • 10+ years of industry experience in a pre-sales capacity with 5 years of direct line management experience especially with enterprise Fortune 2000 customers. (hiring, training, and retaining top talent)
  • A proven track record of leading an enterprise and strategic accounts SE team leading complex sales cycles
  • A strong knowledge of the developer, DevOps, Application Security, and ASPM ecosystems and practices
  • A global role in leading complex sales and solution organization at enterprise scale, including leading professional services and partner organizations.
  • A track record of building and leading solution architecture/ engineering  teams ideally in a SaaS or API usage-based businesses
  • Previous technical sales experience with API’s, distributed systems, databases, and/or developer tools preferred 
  • Experience working closely with highly technical customers at the Enterprise level 
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of coding languages and how they work
  • Appetite for learning about new technologies and you’re curious about how things work under the hood
  • Ability to plan and succeed, setting milestones along the way, over-communicate, create alignment, rally resources and satisfy stakeholders
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • Strong executive presence and ability to foster deep relationships with our customers
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred
