UNiDAYS Ltd is hiring a Remote Senior Project Manager FTC

*this role is open to remote working within the UK. Successful candidates will be required to travel to their closest UNiDAYS campus (London or Nottingham) on occasion.

The role in a nutshell

The Senior Project Manager will partner with business leaders to support delivery of key strategic initiatives in line with the company's goals, ambitious growth plans, and vision. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a variety of projects including launching new initiatives, processes, services and market expansions; ensuring all projects have clearly defined goals, comprehensive plans, and the ability to execute to achieve key milestones. You’ll thrive in ambiguity, and will be pivotal in navigating unfamiliar and complex scenarios; bringing together cross-functional project teams and challenging assumptions to ensure plans are well-considered and future-proofed. The role will require managing multiple projects at one time, so you must be comfortable with prioritisation and have excellent time management. You’ll have strong empathy and influencing skills, making sure stakeholder groups are aligned on where we are now, where we need to get to and the deliverables required to achieve the common goal. You’ll collaborate with leadership to ensure business change is effectively planned, managed and embedded at UNiDAYS whilst understanding the impacts and risks; ensuring measures are in place to mitigate these effectively. We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager  with a combination of operational know-how,strong analytical and technical skills, able to adapt and flex your delivery approach based on the requirements of the project, and the stakeholders involved.  

Day to day responsibilities 

  • Managing a portfolio of complex projects that span one or multiple areas of the business strategic initiatives, aiming to deliver value incrementally through effective project plans.
  • Transform a high-level objective into a clear, focused, and measurable plan of action driven by quantitative and qualitative metrics which are connected to OKR’s.
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery from initiation to deployment across multiple workstreams.
  • Balancing various strategic projects simultaneously. You will drive strategic project progress, provide recommendations based on your analysis and create top-notch presentations for stakeholders to understand business change and impact.
  • Provide leadership and direction for project stakeholder groups by building and motivating team members to meet project goals and milestones.
  • Establishing best practice ways of working, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature UNiDAYS.

What we need from you

  • Successful candidate must have a strong track record in stakeholder management; communicating with senior leaders (verbal and written) and external vendors.
  • Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques, and experience adapting the approach to get the best outcome on a project by project basis.
  • Experience delivering results through both influencing other teams and rolling up their sleeves to dive deep independently and make things happen.
  • Experience supporting leaders in shaping strategic initiatives / complex projects through conception, planning and execution stages.
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing change management principles, methodologies and tools.
  • Strong understanding of how people journey through change, as well as the change process.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work in ambiguous situations and support other cross program work-streams is vital.
  • Organised, with a natural inclination for future-proofing VS quick-fix solutions.
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • High level of integrity, energy and sense of urgency to make things happen.
  • Ability to establish and maintain trust, credibility and build strong relationships.
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere. 
  • Expertise leading cross-functional workshops to drive consensus.
  • Experience in managing internal, vendor, and consultant resources.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Willing to take action and enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

What You Have Done

  • 5+ years experience in project/program management in a fast-paced quick-growth environment.
  • Proven experience of delivering complex, ambiguous projects.
  • Established leader and strategic thinker with an ability to execute in an evolving, ambiguous, and dynamic environment.
  • Experience utilizing Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
  • Experience of working within technology, commercial or online media businesses.
  • Experience with large-scale organisational change efforts
  • Experience working in a start-up or scale-up environment is preferred but not essential
  • Experience in managing strategic programs of work is preferred but not essential.
  • Formal Project Management qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • Business Analysis experience is preferred but not essential.
