Description

This can include but is not limited to deployment planning for SharePoint on premise or SharePoint online, content evaluation and migration, integration with Teams and OneDrive, Intranet redesigns, PowerApps and Power Automate. In collaboration with project team members understand business goals, determine options and recommendations to implement collaboration, document management and workflows. The SharePoint Engineer should understand standard concepts, best practices, and procedures for legacy as well as modern SharePoint and Teams. 

Responsibilities and duties include: 
  • Consult with customers to understand the current and future SharePoint needs and develop solutions.
  • Ability to scope, plan and deliver technical expertise for migrations to SharePoint Online and Teams.
  • Provide technical knowledge in design and planning an enterprise SharePoint migration strategy.
  • Provide technical evaluation of content to determine modernization options.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions; translates business requirements to configuration specifications.
  • Ability to document SharePoint applications, business requirements and assessment in migration and development planning efforts.
  • Cloud readiness assessments for apps, workflows, and solutions.
  • Assist team in perform migrations from On-Prem to SharePoint Online.
Technical skills: 
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a technical subject matter expert in Microsoft SharePoint 2010/2013/2016/2019 & Online.
  • Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, +other 365 apps.
  • Technical experience implementing SharePoint and operating 365 applications and services.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 security configurations and best practices in tenant configuration; 365 Security Configurations (ATP, Defender and Security Center).

Responsibilities: 
Senior O365 Engineerwho specializes in Office 365 and has completed Office 365 migrationswith in-depth knowledge managing and maintaining the Microsoft 365 environment, including establishing plans to improve security and utilization of existing subscriptions using Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams. This position will require working with engineering staff and IT staff to research, itemize, scope and execute the migrations.
Known scope/duties:
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 security configurations and best practices in tenant configuration; 365 Security Configurations (ATP, Defender and Security Center).
  • Experience with Office applications, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams platforms as collaboration tools within a delivery team.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Teams migrations a bonus.
  • Office 365 support and configuration.
  • Ability to perform tenant and data governance review and configuration. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview and policies services.
  • Experience with endpoint management and Intune preferred.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory (AAD)
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions; translates business requirements to configuration specifications.

This requires the ability to speak with clients on a non-technical level and work together with other engineers on our team. This position is a Cloud technology focused position. Our ideal candidate for this position is someone who has deep experience in IT systems, consulting experience, the ability to speak in detail about technology to clients, general business sense, and a strong focus on cloud services.
  • 10+ years of information technology experience.
  • 2+ years of experience of hands-on cloud migration planning and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Azure cloud technologies.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with virtualization technologies.
  • 2+ years of experience in a consulting role.
  • Exchange migration experience a plus.
  • Ability to lead, and own projects that you design as well as projects designed by others.
  • Problem solving and the ability to identify problems in advance and propose solutions.
