We're looking for a qualified IT Service Desk Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll be responsible for working with the IT Service Desk manager to maintain and support all company issued end user hardware and core software / services such as Google Workspace, Slack, Jumpcloud, Sophos Central, Jamf, etc.

  • Own and manage documentation for the Archipelago SaaS platform
  • Author, edit, and review product documentation (such as user manuals, how-tos, tutorials, FAQs, release notes, and technical references/APIs)
  • Organize and structure documentation according to audience and point of access
  • Develop documentation templates
  • Manage collaboration with internal teams, including Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing
  • Provide guidance on the best documentation tools/platforms and processes to achieve our goals
  • Train internal and external users on platform usage
  • Be an active participant in the product design conversations

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a technical writer for a SaaS product, or similar experience
  • Some experience training internal/external users in product usage
  • Impeccable writing & technical writing skills
  • Strong technical aptitude; ability to learn new concepts and tools quickly
  • Experience selecting, configuring and managing a modern documentation platform (e.g., GitBook, Archbee, Bit.ai, etc.)
  • Experience in creating documentation for audiences with different levels of technical skill
  • Familiarity with coding languages, frameworks, and API documentation a plus
  • Experience with Markdown, Git and GitHub a plus

We’re looking for talented designers with a diverse set of skills, backgrounds, disciplines, and perspectives to change how this industry operates. By joining our growing design team, you’ll not just be helping define our culture at Archipelago, but also reshaping how this industry does business.

Our team works across a number of specialties, but approaches design holistically. Our efforts expand across evolving our design process, conducting research, prototyping for web and mobile, brand and marketing work, as well as refining our UX writing.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working closely with product managers to map out our product vision
  • Ideation of new feature development, utilizing a variety of techniques to validate our ideas and promote learning
  • Improve your skill set by working through the entire product design process of sketching, wireframing, visual design, prototyping, and user testing
  • Finding creative solutions to complex business problems, user interactions, or technical constraints
  • Designing for things at scale
  • Honing in our research process

You might be the right fit if you:

  • Have a strong portfolio demonstrating a clear understanding of distilling complex problems into elegant solutions using research, user flows, wireframing, and visual design

We are looking for a senior full stack developer comfortable designing, developing, and maintaining complex data services to help us develop an online platform (we’d need your help with the web side of things). We’re a small growing engineering team distributed around the US & Europe, with an office in San Francisco. We iterate quickly, ship every day, build for the long term, and are looking for smart, independent engineers who want to ply their trade with like-minded people.

Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy and iterate on new features and capabilities of the Archipelago application stack.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, design, and product to build out new capabilities and designs.
  • Build fast but design for the feature through architecting efficient and reusable components.
  • Own the quality of your deliverable through good design, implementation and unit testing.
  • Ship code to production frequently.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of SaaS application development experience
  • Experience building responsive and cross-browser compatible web applications with a strong UI focus
  • Production environment coding experience with React, Typescript, Graphql, and Golang
  • Proven track record of delivering highly-performant and scalable software solutions, and commitments to demanding business customers.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and well developed practices around, versioning, error handling on remote interfaces
  • Experience with integrating 3rd party APIs
  • Experience working in cloud based environments, e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • Building data driven services on top of database such as Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB, etc.
    • Knowledge of best practices & patterns for large scale web applications.

    Desired but not Required

    • Experience building applications for the insurance industry.
    • Containerization experience targeting Docker and Kubernetes.
