Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
  • 2 years of experience in public relations and communication campaign development and execution.
  • 2+ years of experience leading multiple, simultaneous communications campaigns of assorted sizes and geographies.
  • Significant, focused experience working directly with the press and media such as TV news programs, newspapers, etc.
  • A strong network of PR and media contacts, preferably in clean transportation and climate, with the ability to build relationships using strong interpersonal skills with different stakeholders.

      CALSTART’s Northeast Regional Office team works to integrate cleaner, more efficient vehicle technologies into public and private fleets through design and implementation of incentive programs for clean cars, trucks, and charging infrastructure, technical study of clean freight corridor potential, and thoughtful policy engagement with CALSTART’s growing list of industry member to effectuate sound adoption conditions for clean mobility technologies and practices throughout the region.

      Additionally, the Lead Project Manager will:

      • Supplement Northeast team capacity on New York Truck Voucher Incentive Program and fleet advisory services projects in Massachusetts
      • Embed equity and broad representation in program design, team operations, implementation, partner development, outreach, and support 
      • Strategically and collaboratively manage and negotiate across departments, teams, and state agencies (e.g., NYSERDA, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, etc.)

      CALSTART is seeking to hire an Electric School Bus Incentives Project Manager II who will play a critical role in managing and supporting the design and implementation of a $1 billion-dollar clean school bus incentive program as part of HVIP under the direction of the School Bus Program Manager. You will take a lead role in working with CARB, industry stakeholders, and important cross functional team members to execute incentive design, stakeholder engagement, participation and policy implementation, and end-user experience including comprehensive outreach plan to meet CARB’s objectives to allocate funds to prioritized applicants.

      Additionally, the Project Manager II will also:

      • Support cross-team functionality with the Clean Fuels and Infrastructure team to roll out a seamless joint application (infrastructure and vehicles).
      • Support synergies between this school bus carve-out and other school bus funding mechanisms, particularly Standard HVIP and the HVIP Public School Bus Set Aside for Small and Medium Air Districts, in order to articulate a seamless end-user experience for school districts and stakeholders.
      • Support school bus stakeholder industry engagement as it relates to the above synergies and industry momentum more broadly.
      • Work with Salesforce team to implement voucher process system for this incentive program.
      • Work with Tetra-Tech / Voucher Process Center team to implement processes.
      • Work with CARB, industry stakeholders, and the above-mentioned team members to execute incentive design, stakeholder engagement, participation and policy implementation, and end-user experience.

      Qualifications

      • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental sustainability, or other related fields
      • Two years of experience working with utility or transportation industry supporting electric charging and/or alternative fueling infrastructure

      CALSTART has an immediate opening for a highly motivated person who is passionate about improving air quality and combatting climate change globally. Our Global Program Manager will work on our Global Commercial Vehicle Drive to Zero program, and will lead Drive to Zero’s partner recruitment and engagement, infrastructure work, and Drive to Zero activities in key regions. Drive to Zero aims to accelerate the growth of global zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty vehicles (ZE-MHDVs), with the vision that ZE technology be commercially viable and cost effective in first-success applications (referred to as “beachhead” segments) and first-mover regions by 2025 and dominate new vehicle sales worldwide by 2040. The program has gained incredible momentum since its initial launch in Sep/18, and currently counts on more than 180 pledge partners worldwide, and several strategic regional and global partnerships. The Global Program Manager will work to enable 30% sales of new ZE-MHDVs by 2030 and 100% by 2040, consistent with the ambition of the Global Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on ZE-MHDVs, announced at COP26 and coordinated by CALSTART/Drive to Zero and the Netherlands.

      This position will be remote and based in the United States.

      Additionally, the Global Program Manager will:

      • Lead Drive to Zero’s partner recruitment and engagement: define strategic recruitment and engagement priorities; engage with potential and current partners; coordinate new partner onboarding; and develop knowledge products and communications materials to advance partner engagement (e.g., newsletters, surveys).

We have an exciting opening for a Lead Project Manager to support the Transit Intercity Rail Capital Program, 50+ electric truck deployment projects and to carry out the San Joaquin Valley Regional Office’s broader mission.       Qualifications:

      • 4+ years of project management experience in the cleantech space, including PM planning, project strategy development, deliverable and budget management.
      • Experience developing and executing program enhancement strategies (to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of programs).
      • Experience with grant application and management at Federal and State level.

      Desired Skills and Experience

      • Knowledge of goods movement and offroad electrification within Agricultural Industry.
      • Knowledge of the high level zero emission transition process.
      • Knowledge of CARB investment strategy and zero emission legislation.
      • Knowledge of ZEV technologies and economic/feasibility barriers of entry for SJV fleets.

      Qualifications

      • A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental policy, engineering, business, community relations, communications, outreach or other related field or relevant experience
      • 2+ years of professional experience in project management (including managing scope of work and budgets)
      • 2+ years of experience in sales or promotion of clean energy technologies
      • Knowledge/experience with Electric Vehicles, Clean Transportation, and the Charging Industry
      • Understanding of general policy landscapes that frame the clean transportation (trucks) initiative in the Northeast Region
      • Strong ability to meet or exceed deadlines, multitask and handle complexity and able to work with minimal supervision or direction
