CleanSlate UV
Our mission is simple: eliminate pathogens on mobile devices through the use of effective and easy-to-use UV products. We do this by designing technologies that people will actually use, backed by science reflective of real-world conditions. We harness the power of UV light to kill the most dangerous bacteria without damaging expensive touch screens. CleanSlate UV allows staff, patients and visitors to sanitize their personal items (such as phones, tablets and badges) while they wash or sanitize their hands. This helps improve hand hygiene and reduce the risk of hospital acquired infections. The company was founded in June 2014 out of Queen’s University in Canada. Since then, our solution has been deployed by hospitals and food processing facilities in Canada, the United States and New Zealand. In October of 2015, we were awarded a $500,000 USD innovation investment by 43North in Buffalo.
