Product Designer at CitizenLab
As a Product Designer, you play a key role in shaping our consultation methods and overall platform structure to help policy-makers host engaging and meaningful consultations with their constituents. You help create solutions that make sure every voice is heard by processing and analyzing unstructured input generated by the community to better inform public decisions.
You are a member of the cross-functional Methods and Structure squads, with two Product Manager and nine Engineers. We have clear objectives in terms of product outcome, and the autonomy to make them happen. You work closely together with the squads throughout the whole product discovery and delivery process. In this role, you will report to the team lead of the Product team.
Your responsibilities include:
Together with your squads, internal stakeholders, and end users, you work out different concepts for the problems researched by the product manager;
You use research techniques to inform your design decisions, and leverage tools such as wireframes, sketches, and live-data prototypes to test and improve product experience in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders;
You designcomponents, interactions, and transitions in Figma and you thoroughlytest the usability of the solution with real users and real data;
Together with other product designers and front-end engineers at CitizenLab, you continuously raise the bar in terms of design quality and process efficiency.

As our Account Executive US, you will help CitizenLab grow in the United States by signing up new cities and growing our client base. If you care deeply about the future of democracy and have a keen interest in working with the public sector, this might be you. You will work closely together with our small US-based team.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Identify, develop and close new business opportunities, and manage the sales cycle from discovery to demo to close.
Help implement CitizenLab’s go-to-market plan by identifying market trends and best practices.
Manage and grow a sales pipeline, while identifying gaps in current sales processes and bringing in best practices and new approaches to increase win rate and decrease sales cycles.
Be(come) an expert in participatory democracy, present bespoke solutions, and apply consultative selling techniques.
Grow CitizenLabs presence in the US public sector by networking, public speaking, attending conferences, and developing new partnerships.
Devise outreach campaignsbased on relevant offerings for different government segments, and close opportunities generated through inbound marketing or outbound sales by the BDR team.

As our Finance and Administration Executive, you can demonstrate sound knowledge of financial administration processes and have an incredible eye for detail. You’ll be working with our Head of Finance and our Head of Operations on improving our financial and administrative processes and consolidating accounts globally (EU, US, Global). Taking ownershipof client invoicing and expenses payment, with our US and EU accountant, to enable a healthy cash flow.
Supervising the tax & accounting function with our external partners, to enable reliable financial reporting and with the aim of eventually internalizing accounting.
Identifying, applying for, following up, and reporting on grant and subsidy applications.
Monitoring our expenses and handle third-party contracts and subscriptions.
Implementing budget optimization techniques with our Head of Finance.
Ensuring compliance with our administrative and tax obligations (Belgium, US, core markets).
Acting as the point of contact for all employees, providing administrative support and managing their finance and purchase queries.
