Core Values
We do this work because we have the skills to change lives. We level the playing field to eliminate educational inequity and advance social justice. Every child deserves an opportunity to go to college and successfully transition to adulthood. We help schools and systems achieve jaw-dropping growth for their students. Our teams set clear, ambitious goals and work with urgency to achieve them. Results are an opportunity to learn and focus on what we can do even better in the future.
Whatever it takes. With a social justice mission at our core, we feel an urgency to make a life-trajectory-changing difference. We go above and beyond. Whatever it takes entails developing systems, judgment, and teams that collectively work smarter to do what we need to do. Excellence is a habit and practice. We do whatever it takes to provide excellent customer service to our clients, schools, and partners.
Servant leadership. The thread that binds us together is a desire to make a difference and to serve. Our habit of humility means we own our strengths and weaknesses, build relationships and community grounded in empathy and respect, consider multiple perspectives, connect to something bigger than ourselves, and go above and beyond to serve.
Everything with integrity. We are empowered by a commitment to do what we say we are going to do when we say we are going to do it. Integrity is workability. We choose to be responsible for our shared success, be true to our principles, and take joy in our mission's demands.
Stewardship and thrift.Building a world-class company requires the careful and responsible management of scarce resources. We work smartly, honestly, and unselfishly for the sake of investing in our mission.
Generous collaboration on tough challenges. This work is hard. We will get better faster when we focus on getting better together. We put the organization’s success and mission above ourselves. We are a performance-driven organization where we regularly celebrate success, confront brutal facts, and own and fix shortcomings. We live in a space of radical candor.
Learners for life.We learn continuously to improve continuously. Reflection and feedback drive improvement. Evidence serves and informs decision-making, instruction, and performance management. We are always listening, learning, and growing personally and professionally. We fail forward.
A company with a 10x impact. We aim to build world-class products, technology, and initiatives that impact millions of students by creating system-level change. We work at gnarly problems at the intersection of education, tech, and data that set precedent and define the standard worldwide for best in class use of data and technology in education.
