We are developing a new product suite that will help employers attract, onboard, develop, and retain these employees. Many components of this product suite involve deploying our in-house pool of mentors.

In this role, you will collaborate with the post-program support product lead to build an efficient system for delivering on the product strategy. You will work with our learning experience team, mentoring team, employer partners, and students to deliver holistic solutions that make employers and employees ecstatic about working with Lighthouse. Overall, as our Product Operations Manager, you are accountable for the successful delivery of the product experiments we wish to run (not the success of the experiments themselves, of course!).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Helping to build and deliver products that are designed to help our recent grads (and other entry-level employees) shine at their new employers (and making those employers overjoyed that they hired them).
  • Working with the product team to move initiatives from concept to reality through planning and managing projects, along with engaging cross-functional teams like marketing, learning experience, education delivery, technology, career services, and more.
  • Creating robust infrastructure around research, experimentation, and analysis.
  • Optimizing processes, tools, and reporting.
  • Building, monitoring, and analyzing feedback loops from employers, mentors, and students, to generate insights for the product and executive teams.
  • Developing detailed documentation around policies and processes.
  • Guiding product management efforts, like user research and interviews.

What we need from you:

  • A proven track record of managing a variety of operational initiatives and translating strategic plans into reality.
  • A geeky enthusiasm around building and iterating product management systems and stacks, including tools, analytics, and documentation.
  • Experience collecting, organizing, and disseminating information to others to empower data-driven decision making
  • Amazing - AMAZING - communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Unparalleled attention to detail and deeply caring about “getting things right.”
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a desire to define and support the right balance between process and flexibility (and a desire to move the needle in the right direction).
  • Ability to balance day-to-day execution with strategy and systems thinking.
  • A general “can-do” attitude that relishes the flexibility you’ll have as the needs of the team and this role evolve
  • Tech savviness - experience with the G Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar etc.), Slack, and Discord highly preferred. Experience with project management software is also preferred.
  • Experience in the recruiting industry/function is a plus. Experience in the education industry is also a plus.
  • An interest in building the future of Canada’s ICT industry, including improving the opportunities of equity-deserving groups.

Why you’ll like the job:

  • A fast-paced culture focused on continuous learning and growth
  • Fully remote work environment
  • 4 WEEKS PTO! (15 vacation days, 5 personal days)
  • Unlimited sick days (up to 10 consecutive days)
