Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly experienced business development professional to accelerate new business growth for our consulting practice. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the consulting industry, developing new business, executing at a high level, and building long term relationships with local, regional, and national businesses. A competitive base salary plus commission will be offered to the right person for this role.

The Prolific strategy team develops ambitious, research-based plans for organizations pursuing exponential growth. We listen to our clients, dream with them, and unearth fresh ways to maximize the metrics that matter most. Our team of researchers and analystsis always thinking outside the box to help our purpose-driven partners do the best.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve weekly, monthly and annual sales quotas
  • Research, identify and cultivate new relationships for Prolific’s Strategy business unit
  • Communicate with prospective clients to understand their needs and offer custom solutions to their problems
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to prepare and deliver customized proposals to potential new clients
  • Lead virtual and in-person sales meetings, locally, regionally, and nationally
  • Create positive, long-term relationships with current and prospective clients
  • Own the sales lifecycle from prospecting to implementation
  • Collaborate with the Prolific and JDA leadership teams to continue a cohesive sales strategy
  • Provide business consulting services to client as a member of the strategy team

The responsibilities are many, various, and not limited to those described above.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience successfully developing new business
  • Experience in business development at a consulting firm is highly preferred

The Role:We are seeking a Media Planner / Buyer with 2+ years of experience in traditional and digital media buying. The ideal candidate will have proficiency with Strata or similar media buying platforms, strong negotiation skills, and experience with RFP (Request for Proposal) and RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes. Experience with digital platforms such as Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) is a plus. In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of media planning and buying, from strategy through execution and optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, negotiate, and buy media across traditional and digital channels, including TV, radio, digital, and OOH
  • Use Strata (or similar platform) to create, execute, and manage media buys.
  • Lead RFP and RFQ processes, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to gather proposals and secure competitive rates.
  • Negotiate rates and secure premium placements across media platforms, ensuring maximum value for clients.
  • Research, analyze, and recommend media strategies that align with client objectives and budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors and partners to secure optimal placements and rates.
  • Monitor, optimize, and report on campaign performance, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to keep campaigns at the forefront of media innovation.
  • Work cross-functionally to support integrated media strategies across multiple channels.
  • B.S./B.A. degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in media planning and buying, with a strong understanding of both traditional and digital channels.
  • Proficiency with Strata or similar media buying platforms.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure optimal media rates and placements.
  • Experience leading RFP and RFQ processes with media vendors.
