We’re seeking a Director of Partnerships & PR to navigate the various opportunities to tell our story, develop meaningful partnerships to reach new audiences, and connect with the right people in the news and media landscape so that our story is understood and engaged with as widely as possible.

Some of your activities will include:

  • Build brand awareness and Ten Percent Happier membership growth through creative partnerships, activations and PR
  • Oversee earned media initiatives such as book launches, streaming deals and product launches to ensure the largest audience possible is engaged

  • Manage PR partner and further develop our PR strategy to vastly increase the reach and media pickup of our narrative

What you will bring to the team:

  • Experience creating opportunities and leveraging assets to land partnerships and PR narratives that exponentially grow reach and revenue, including press, digital and live events

What you will do:

Sponsorship Ads: 2-4 hours / week

  • Approve sponsors and determine who on our team is the best person to voice a specific ad
  • Take provided copy points and write a script with the specific host or producer voice in mind
  • Do ad reads for appropriate sponsors, effectively handling these ads from start to finish
  • Produce the spot and deliver to our sales partner on time

  • Understand marketing needs for promo swaps and internal cross-promotion

What you will do:

Lead highly creative teams, balance several projects at once, drive toward clear goals and pivot quickly when needed, help producers reach their full potential. You'll work on a range of ambitious new show concepts: from interview shows to highly produced documentary style series and long form narratives. Some will be newly launched shows like the ones listed above, and others will be new shows we’re planning to develop in 2022 and beyond.

You will set the bar for both excellence and efficiency, support producers with your advanced storytelling skills, write and craft episode structure, research, develop positive host relationships, and incorporate listener stories and feedback into our shows.

You will need to write, produce and edit as needed to ensure projects reach the highest standards of excellence and come in on or ahead of schedule.

  • Leadership of day to day production of shows in development at various stages, including direct supervision of a team of four producers (to start). Key tasks include:
    • development of show format, including storyboarding and scripting
    • working closely with show hosts, producers, audio engineers to develop the voice, sound aesthetic of the show
    • working with producer and production coordinator to develop editorial and production plans timed to the development and launch of other ten percent podcasts
    • help ensure the successful launch of each show and that it is on track to meet key audience goals
    • co-lead efforts to produce shows and stories that fit within the ethos and mission of the Ten Percent Happier brand
    • Write, edit and lead produce high-profile new shows and episodes

Your Role:

You will work collaboratively with our host and managing editor, Yasmeen Khan, our team of talented producers, engineers, and production coordinators to run Childproof, our new podcast on the experience of being a parent.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for driving the production, including writing, editing and light sound design/scoring, in close partnership with the host(s) and managing editor, along with your audio engineering colleagues. We value every teammate's work and ideas equally.

Key responsibilities include planning out episode production alongside the managing producer; running story meetings; pitching guest and story ideas, writing and episode structure work, researching, and collecting listener stories and feedback.

Your Role:

Your mission is to support our video team in all facets of in-house video production with clarity, kindness, and accountability. This temporary position will be full time for 3-4 months with a potential opportunity to extend.

What you will do:

As an agile and proactive team member, you will assist two video production teams with logistical, communication, clerical and administrative support. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with Associate Producer to craft and maintain a detailed production plan, from pre production through delivery, making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Assisting Production Manager in sourcing and communicating with vendors and freelance crew, booking and releasing guests, tracking expenses, maintaining budgets, and preparing accounting reporting.
  • Assisting Associate Producer with production travel logistics, creating and distributing call sheets and other production communications.
  • Assisting media management workflow.
  • Managing, correcting, distributing and organizing transcripts.
  • Post Coordination: Working with PM/AP to create and maintain post schedule, track and organize all media throughout the post process.
  • Tracking and organizing final deliverables - both those generated by the video team as well as other teams throughout the company (graphics, meditation production, marketing, etc). You will own the maintenance of status and location of all deliverables throughout.
  • Communicating with other teams within the company, distributing necessary assets from video to other departments and vice versa.
  • Aiding in QCing videos, GFX, subtitles, etc for delivery.
  • Supporting everyday needs of the department: working with the AP to coordinate internal scheduling among team members and across the company, booking meetings and calls - both internally and outward-facing. Taking notes during meetings, creating and following up on to-do’s.
  • Updating and proactively maintaining inward and outward-facing production resources and documents. Expertly using Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, etc)

What you will bring to the team:

  • 2-3 years experience in supporting all phases of production, post production, and working with various types of video assets and platforms.

Your Role:

Your mission is to work closely with our video team to proactively coordinate efficient video production of as well as audio-only meditation content with clarity, kindness, and accountability.

What you will do:

As a critical player on the content team, you will work closely with video team leadership, senior video producers, and senior meditation producers to:

  • Develop, roll out, and execute production budgeting, cost tracking and accounting reconciliation processes and systems (and refine them as our team and production ambitions grow)
  • Manage contractor, crew and vendor onboarding, payroll, invoice processing and expense approval
  • Source, identify, negotiate rates and fees and book "best-in-class" crew and vendors drawing on strong industry relationships and deep Rolodex
  • Maintain the company's crew database and vendor relationships
  • Draft and maintain production and post-production calendars, comprehensive deliverable trackers, and the video team planning calendar
  • Provide hands-on support through all phases of production, truly owning all production logistics and operations working closely with, but under the Senior Video Producer.
