Job Description

Truewerk is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Lifecycle Marketing Specialist based in Denver, Colorado to join our marketing team. This junior role will be responsible for executing, monitoring, and optimizing all aspects of email, app, and SMS marketing communications, from data collection to consumer sends. This role requires proficiency in leveraging various ad tech and CRM platforms to drive engagement with our email and SMS programs.

This role reports to the Senior Manager of CRM and Lifecycle Marketing and works closely with team members across Sales, Marketing, and Product Management.

The position is based in Denver, CO with flexibility to work remotely based on business needs. 

Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000 per year base salary + bonus

What you’ll do

  • Campaign Execution:Build and deploy email and SMS marketing campaigns using our ad tech and CRM platforms.
  • Quality Assurance:Perform quality assurance checks on creative assets, triggering logic and audience segmentation to ensure the right content is delivered to the right audience at the right time.
  • Segmentation Management:Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Lifecycle Marketing to manage customer and list segmentation, ensuring campaigns are tailored to specific audience segments.
  • Analytics and Optimization:Monitor campaign analytics and key performance indicators to optimize the effectiveness of email campaigns and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:Work closely with digital copywriters and creative teams to ensure timely release of assets and maintain brand consistency across all communications.
  • Industry Trends and Innovation:Stay abreast of current industry trends and best practices within email marketing and implement innovative strategies to enhance campaign performance.
  • Compliance and Deliverability:Assist in monitoring email deliverability, data hygiene, subscription management, and compliance with global opt-in laws and regulations.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 1 year of proven experience managing automated email/SMS programs
  • Prior exposure to marketing in a DTC eCommerce business
  • Tendency toward goal-oriented, process-focused roles in media or marketing
  • Familiarity with audience segmentation and list management

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with Klaviyo or similar mid-market ESP’s a must (Mailchimp, Bluecore, Listrak, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo)
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets and performance reporting (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets)
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines and being flexible with real time changes

What you'll do

Business Development and Relationship Management

  • A proven track record of strategic sales plan development and compensation plan development
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience selling physical goods, specifically apparel, uniforms, or tools, particularly those involving seasonal or periodic replenishment
  • Prior success selling to our target audience will be extremely beneficial

Technical Skills

  • Ability to conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning

What you’ll do

Advertising Channel Strategy

  • Develop creative briefs for paid advertisements, promotional collateral, and new channel assets.
  • Explore, assess, and expand new channels, tactics, and creative methodologies to enhance the efficiency of paid channels. (Reddit, TikTok, etc.)
  • Establish and sustain a continuous feedback loop for results, emphasizing the identification of drivers of effective ad creative to inform better creative outcomes and performance.

Agency Management

  • Take ownership of day-to-day agency and vendor management, focusing on Television, SEM, Paid Social, Affiliates and other key digital platforms.
  • Lead ongoing optimization efforts across key advertising and marketing channels in collaboration with agency partners.
  • Direct and guide agency partners through monthly and quarterly planning and revenue and efficiency forecasting.
  • Facilitate the seamless exchange of ad trafficking and collateral between internal teams and agency resources.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Define, manage, and track monthly, quarterly, and annual advertising budgets.
  • Generate insightful and actionable reports to guide agency tactics, creative insights, paid ad efficiency, and overall marketing performance.
  • Measure and report on the efficacy of marketing campaigns, extracting insights and assessing alignment with departmental and organizational goals.
  • Analyze customer and audience insights, devising and testing innovative targeting and creative approaches to connect with the Truewerk target customer.

Project Management, Technical Integrations

  • Collaborate on technical implementation with site operations and agencies to ensure accurate and reliable ad performance measurement. (Pixel implementation, Shopify integrations, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with the CRM team to seamlessly integrate and evaluate new first-party audiences and share insights on performance
  • Partner with the site operations team to implement, maintain, and audit tracking technologies, including UTM, and ensure accuracy of on-site measurement. 

Qualifications

Experience and Education

  • 3+ years in Marketing
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing
  • A career encompassing goal-oriented, quantitative roles in media or marketing 
  • Experience with both ad agency and brand side for DTC ecommerce brands preferred
  • Apparel or similar softgoods or hardgoods experience a plus
  • ​​Prior experience with paid search preferred 
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines

Technical Skills

  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Merchant Center,  SEMRush)
