Description

AsProduct Manager for our Checkout and Payments tribe in the Technology Department you will be directly responsible for creating the best seamless purchase experience for millions of Westwing customers across app and web. You will own a portfolio of strategic initiatives in the purchase funnel and collaborate closely with our Design, Engineering and Analytics team to define, deliver and ensure the success of payments products and features. In addition, you will need to be forward-thinking in understanding how payment innovations can drive values for the millions of customers who shop and stay with Westwing every day. This position can be performed remotely from Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy and is unlimited.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • be an owner of the key customer interaction points in Payments and Post-order processes on all platforms
  • lead and drive key projects over the full product development process: from ideation phase, through design, specification and development, over to the launch and post-release analysis
  • always keep an eye on the competitive landscape and stay informed about payment spaces
  • collaborate closely with engineering, UX, analytics, the business stakeholders and external partners (e.g. 3rd party payment providers) to define, build and launch products/platform features
  • understand the usage of your product, by defining relevant KPIs and monitoring their performance over time, feeding insights back into the product development process for further improvements
  • active management of product backlog, including prioritization, writing and managing epics, stories and acceptance criteria with common agile methods (SCRUM, Kanban) and meeting structures (e.g. daily, sprint meetings, retrospectives, demos)

YOU COME WITH

  • 2+ years of product manager or product owner work experience in working together with an engineering team in an agile environment, taking on regular product management duties, experience within the checkout/payments area is a big plus
  • demonstrated ability with writing crystal-clear product specifications, optimizing conversion funnels, data analysis, and A/B testing
  • strong analytical mindset with an ability to build product reports and gain insights
  • independent and proactive way of working as well as a "get-things-done" mentality
  • being flexible and able to successfully lead multiple initiatives concurrently
  • familiarity with analytical tools like Excel, SQL, Google Analytics is a plus
  • outstanding communication skills enabling you to communicate clearly with various types of stakeholders and fluency in English
