We are looking for a Jr. Software Design Engineerto join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions! This is your opportunity to be part of a team committed to delivering best-in-class service to our customers.
In this role you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining business and computer applications software. This role will support change communications for the team, focusing on generating tools to streamline processes, enhance style consistency, and deliver information from various sources in a cohesive format.
Responsibilities:
- Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects
- Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data.
- Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications.
- Implement system software and customize to client requirements.
- Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans.
- Code new programs to client’s specifications and create test data for testing.
- Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs.
- Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation.
- Provide quality assurance reviews.
- Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing.
- Track deployment schedules and prepare agendas for review meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in software design engineering and Azure services development.
- Solid foundation in computer science, with expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Experience in large systems software design and development.
- Proficiency in .NET coding and SQL.
- Experience with Azure deployment.
- Skilled in performing in-depth troubleshooting, unit testing, and problem diagnosis and resolution in both new and legacy production systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in deploying in Azure is a plus.
Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $73,000 to $93,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
