2ULaundry is hiring a Remote Senior HR Generalist

2ULaundry is hiring a Remote Franchise Business Coach for LaundroLab

2ULaundry and LaundroLab are on a mission to create time for the world to focus on the things that matter most - and that probably isn’t laundry! We’re a rapidly growing startup that is rewriting the rules around this time-consuming task by building two complementary brands. With our convenient pick-up and drop-off service and modern, inviting laundromats, we provide people with an effortless and convenient solution to laundry and dry cleaning to give them back time because as we all know, time is valuable.

The Franchise Business Coach Role:

LaundroLab is looking for a Franchise Business Coach to provide our franchisees nationwide with startup and ongoing support as they scale their footprint within their local markets. Franchise Business Coaches are the direct connection between our franchisees and LaundroLab corporate helping our store owners achieve their financial goals while living by our values of accountability, community, and excellence.

LaundroLab launched its franchising opportunity in 2021 with its first franchise locations opening in 2022. The Franchise Business Coach hire will play an integral role in defining the structure of the department and will be involved in future Business Coach hires as our store owners continue to open locations. This role will report to the Director of Franchise Operations.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities of the Franchise Business Coach?

Strategic Coaching and Support:

  • Provide ongoing strategic coaching to franchise store owners, emphasizing business growth, operational efficiency, and profitability.
  • Develop and standardize coaching cadences, meeting structures, and call agendas to maximize effectiveness.
  • Meet with new store owners more frequently during their first 6–12 months post-opening, transitioning to less frequent meetings as appropriate.

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with franchise store owners.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, indirectly influencing and guiding franchise store owners toward best practices and successful outcomes.

Performance Analysis and Goal Setting:

  • Review annual business plans, KPIs, monthly P&Ls, and other performance metrics to assess store performance.
  • Assist store owners in setting realistic goals and developing actionable plans to achieve them.
  • Provide candid, constructive feedback based on data-driven insights.

Marketing Integration:

  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align strategies and ensure cohesive support for franchisees.
  • Incorporate hyperlocal, grassroots marketing tactics into coaching sessions to drive store traffic and community engagement.
  • Ensure that marketing initiatives are integrated into the overall business strategies for each franchisee.

Resource Utilization and Training:

  • Encourage and guide franchise store owners in utilizing available resources, such as Notion, SOPs, and training materials before reaching out for in-person support
  • Identify gaps in resources and work with relevant teams to develop necessary tools and documentation.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of in-depth training programs focused on strategic business aspects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with the New Store Opening (NSO) team to ensure a smooth transition post-opening.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to ensure alignment between marking initiatives and operational results
  • Serve as a liaison between franchisees and other departments, maintaining clear communication and alignment.

Professional Development and Leadership:

  • Stay current with industry trends, franchising best practices, and coaching methodologies.
  • Set an example by maintaining a high level of professionalism and expertise in all aspects of LaundroLab operations.
  • Assist in hiring and training new Franchise Business Coaches or additional support resources, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Operational Excellence:

  • Perform bi-annual brand standards compliance audits to ensure adherence to LaundroLab's operational standards.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Empower store owners by focusing on strategic initiatives rather than day-to-day operational issues.

Time and Priority Management:

  • Manage schedules effectively to balance meeting frequency with preparation time for quality coaching.
  • Prioritize support for stores needing additional guidance, offering tailored coaching as necessary.

Who is the ideal Franchise Business Coach?

  • Adaptable: Each day is different from the next. One day might involve back-to-back-to-back calls with Store Owners, while the next day is spent digging into P&Ls. Each Store Owner is going to need something different and we may not have all the resources ready, so the Franchise Business Coach will help develop tools, training documents, and resources as needed.
  • Socially Focused: We aim to provide a 5-star Store Owner experience, so this role will require a lot of attention on building and maintaining relationships, especially where helping, not pressuring, others is the goal.
  • Detail Oriented: Making sure others follow the established guidelines and procedures is key to Store Owner Success. This is a fast-paced role with multiple projects going simultaneously, so the details matter.
  • Organized: Helping each Store Owner work towards their individual business goals by leaning in, following up, and following through by providing resources that you put together are key.
  • Analytical: Tracking individual Store Owner KPIs and helping them make informed business decisions based on their P&L gets you excited.
  • Team Player: Working at a startup sometimes means jumping in on a project outside of the scope of your role. We work hard to find balance and Store Owner satisfaction drives this team.

What are the requirements of the Franchise Business Coach?

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in franchising or business coaching and/or consulting, with a strong understanding of indirect influence and franchise partner support.
  • Proven coaching experience, with the ability to standardize coaching processes and structure effective meetings.
  • Experience in hyperlocal, grassroots marketing strategies within a retail environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting KPIs and financial reports.
  • Proficiency with resource management platforms like Notion.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and align strategies across departments.
  • Open to travel up to 10% of the time

What are the perks of the Franchise Business Coach?

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k, and an Employee Assistance Program
  • FREE Telehealth program for all employees and their dependents (regardless of tenure)
  • Unlimited PTO policy that our employees actually use!
  • Working with a supportive, driven team working to build our startup into a nationally recognized brand
  • Free laundry if you are in one of our service areas

2ULaundry and LaundroLab are equal opportunity employers. We value diversity and strive to create an inclusive environment representative of a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Employment is decided solely on the basis of qualifications, merit, and business need.
