About the Role

MedSchoolCoach is seeking a results-driven professional with a background in test prep or education marketing and a proven track record of building strategic partnerships. Ideal candidates will have experience collaborating with college and university administrators, student organizations, and other educational stakeholders, bringing an innovative mindset and entrepreneurial spirit to the role.

In this position, you will represent MedSchoolCoach as its ultimate ambassador, driving awareness of our services through strategic outreach and education. By fostering partnerships with institutions across the U.S. and internationally, including medical schools, undergraduate student organizations, post-baccalaureate programs, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our reach and impact. You’ll also have the opportunity to engage directly with students, develop creative collaborations, and provide valuable insights into industry trends.

In This Role, You’ll Get To

• Develop and maintain a robust network of schools, student organizations, and other key partners domestically and internationally.
• Strengthen MedSchoolCoach’s reputation among colleges, universities, medical schools, and post-baccalaureate programs.
• Identify, research, prioritize, and secure new partnership opportunities.
• Drive growth by significantly increasing student utilization of MedSchoolCoach services.
• Engage with students by organizing impactful virtual presentations,workshops, webinars, live Q&A sessions, and more.
• Plan and execute live field marketing events with community and school partners .
• Maintain a comprehensive calendar of virtual and live events and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Propose innovative strategies to gain visibility for MedSchoolCoach and attract new partnerships.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to nurture relationships and maximize partnership effectiveness.
• Identify and implement creative incentives for institutions to partner with MedSchoolCoach.
• Track and measure the success of outreach campaigns, analyze data, and adjust strategies to improve outcomes in real time.

Looking For People Who Have

• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
• 2–4 years of experience in client relationship management, business development, or outreach in education (preferably higher education or a test prep organization).
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with students, faculty, and educational administrators.
• Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.
• The ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
• Experience in higher education, test prep, or admissions (a plus).

Job Summary:

MCAT Tutors help students through the process of preparing for the MCAT examination.

Responsibilities:

Tutors meet virtually with students one-on-one to assist with content, strategy, and overall preparation for the MCAT.

Qualifications:

Tutors are typically outstanding college seniors, students taking time off between their undergraduate studies and medical school, or medical/PhD students.

All tutors must have:

1. Taken the MCAT in the past three years and achieved a minimum score of 130 in at least three sections (1 score of 129 is accepted).

2. Planning to start medical school in 2025 or after.

3. Have a genuine interest in helping students achieve their goals.

Candidates will participate in an orientation and training process prior to being hired. All qualified applicants are considered.

Description:

We are looking for individuals who have experience working for undergraduate admissions at highly selective universities and a passion for helping students applying to pre-med or direct medical (“BS/MD”) programs. Working together with a physician advisor, the college advisor will support high school students through all aspects of the college application process. The goal is to help students build applications that are compelling and representative of them. We are only open to candidates who have worked in admissions for a highly selective college or university and/or have privately counseled highly qualified students through the college application process.

Scope:

As a college advisor, you will help the student navigate the Common App, provide consistent and supportive advising, build school lists that reflect the student’s goals and interests, and prepare the student for interviews, among other duties. It is critical that you maintain up-to-date knowledge of college admissions trends, industry standards, and new developments. Additionally, our students are focused on applying to BS/MD or pre-med programs and expect our advisors to have an understanding of their unique needs as an applicant. To help, we provide students with a physician advisor who is an expert in the BS/MD admissions process. You will develop a strong working relationship with the physician advisor and will act as a unified team that will support the applicant through the application process.

This is, largely, a seasonal position. Our peak season is from June until December. Also, this is a remote position that requires you to have a reliable connection to the Internet, access to Microsoft Word, and understanding of Google applications including Google Sheets and Google Docs.

Ideal Candidate:

• BA/BS from an accredited institution, master's preferred
• prior experience as a undergraduate admissions officer for a highly selective institution and/or significant prior experience advising undergraduate applicants applying to highly selective institutions
  • management-level undergraduate admissions experience is highly preferred
• strong knowledge of all areas of the undergraduate admissions process—application through acceptance
• familiarity with BS/MD (direct med) and pre-med programs
• demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment
• ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• ability to provide coaching and feedback in a clear and timely manner, making sure students feel supported and understand direction

Compensation:

This is a part-time, contract role. For compensation, we use a Relative Value Unit (RVU) based system. MedSchoolCoach allocates a specific amount of RVUs to each service and package and bases those amounts on various factors that impact the completion of required tasks, including anticipated hours of work. College advisors can expect to earn approximately $85 per RVU. Bonuses and raises will be given for years of service and exceptional work.
