WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Determine, review and analyze system specifications
  • Manage and execute test scripts and reviewing results
  • Report and document technical issues
  • Create test plans, requirements, scenarios and test data for use during testing
  • Provide feedback to developers and project managers around UX based on test outcomes
  • Take your skills to the next level by working with the latest tech on cutting edge projects
  • Raise an alert when an important issue is likely to put in jeopardy the whole project
  •  Work closely with our team, learning from pros
  • Be supported to learn and grow towards your professional and personal goals, whatever they may be
  • Available part-time (20 hours/week) or full-time (40 hours/week)

 

Qualifications

YOUR SKILLS

  • Excellent knowledge of Quality Assurance Testing, including scripting languages and coding unit tests.
  • Proficient in both web and mobile apps, with a strong emphasis on mobile app testing (must have access to an iPhone for testing iOS apps).
  • Creative in devising scenarios to identify bugs and “see beyond the obvious.”
  • Thorough in troubleshooting errors and documentation.
  • Development knowledge and a broad understanding of our product(s).
  • Experience working in a remote team is a plus.
  • Result-driven: focuses not only on finding bugs but also on collaborating with the development team to prioritize and resolve them.
  • Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Proficient in English (both written and spoken).

Position Summary

As a QA Tester at Inelo, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing systems for transportation telematics. Your work will consist of manually testing applications and writing automated test cases for Web Applications and backend services.

To apply for this position we require at least 1 year's commercial experience in test automation

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • practical ability to write test cases for manual and automated testing and experience with test management tools (e.g. Xray)
    • experience in testing API communication including REST protocol
    • practical knowledge of Java and OOP best practices
    • practical knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, TestNg, and Allure Report
    • practical knowledge of CI/CD tools ( e.g. GitLab, Jenkins)
    • ability to write queries for relational and non-relational databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB)
    • ability to work with queuing systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
    • familiarity with bug reporting tools like Jira
    • familiarity with version control systems like GIT
    • ability to work in containerized environments with the use of Docker and Kubernetes
    • Polish at a native level
    • English at a communicative level

    Nice to have:

    • experience with Playwright, Typescript and Azure DevOps
    • ISTQB certification

    What’s In for You

    As a Software Quality Assurance Tester, you'll become a champion for our technology. You'll leverage your technical skills to partner with our development team, crafting automated test scenarios to ensure flawless products. You will have the chance to expand your expertise in broader testing methodologies, from requirements gathering to performance testing.

    Beyond core testing, you'll support our customer-facing technical helpdesk and lead User Acceptance Testing (UATs). You'll also actively contribute to product quality throughout the development lifecycle, including documentation.

    Your Role and Responsibilities

    • Design and execute comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and scripts to identify and eliminate defects.
    • Conduct end-to-end testing, including automated testing, to guarantee a high-quality product for our clients.
    • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with clients, incorporating their feedback for continuous improvement.
    • Champion product quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by attending relevant meetings and actively contributing.
    • Continuously work with multiple database interfaces to ensure high familiarity with standard web architectures.
    • Develop and maintain testing tools for automation and support.
    • Manage bugs in Jira - Investigate and recreate reported defects for permanent resolution.
    • Maintain high Quality of Service (QoS) standards through performance testing.
    • Collaborate with developers and product managers to create and update technical documentation (release notes, user manuals, etc.).
    • Ensure all technical documentation is current and easily accessible.
    • Contribute to a safe and secure file library for documentation.

    • A degree in Computer Science / Mathematics or a relevant discipline is required.
    • 5+ years of experience in software testing and QA, with a proven track record of delivering bug-free products.
    • Experience designing and implementing automated tests.
    • Proficiency in SQL, Java and JavaScript.
    • Experience in writing technical documentation (UML).
    • Experience conducting and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) with clients.
    • Familiarity with Jira and the Atlassian product suite is mandatory.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
    • Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
    • Passionate, driven, and organized with excellent time management skills.
    • Ability to keep calm under pressure and lead by example.
