Role Summary

Role & Responsibilities

  • Represent our company’s products and services, starting with a comprehensive understanding and leading to consumer research to identify how our solutions meet needs
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing cold and warm prospects and finding new potential sales outlets
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives for next steps
  • Identify best practices to refine the company’s lead generation playbook
  • Utilize SalesForce, Salesloft, Zoominfo, Discover Org and cold calling, and email to generate new sales opportunities
  • Identify prospect's needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives
  • Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results

Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a Sales, Operations, Finance or analytical role
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A hunter attitude is needed for this position - you will be expected to make a minimum of 50 calls per day to prospects
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to create pitch decks to support Sales team
  • Salesforce experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have a ‘can do’ attitude and have an internal strong sense of urgency

Purpose of the Position: Working in a team environment and in conjunction with the Sales Manager and the Implementation Success Manager, the SDR is responsible for researching and identifying potential clients and providing leads (appointments) to the Sales team to achieve sales and revenue quotas for the assigned territory. Responsibility:

This role is responsible for identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities in Target Accounts through both inbound and outbound activities. This role will be primarily focused around researching companies through emails, calls, social media and securing meetings for our Sales team.

  • Independently schedule and conduct an average of 70+outbound calls per day to ensure quota attainment
  • Create a sales pipeline, prospects and opportunities for the sales team
  • Educate the prospective client on benefits of Learning Ally products as necessary e.g Audiobook solution, PL, Excite to prospects
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Audio book solution Excite and PL products
  • Respond, engage and qualify inbound leads and inquiries
  • Engage current users to expand awareness and to ask for referrals
  • Collaborate with sales team members on strategic sales approach and help as needed to build awareness on special projects / events
  • Ensure cold calls and activity quotas are met
  • Document clearly weekly scheduling in NetSuite and clearly outline and communicate follow up activity
  • Ensure that all interactions with internal and external customers adhere to the standards and integrity of the organization
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to profile strategic accounts identifying key individuals, researching and obtaining business requirements and presenting solutions to start the sales cycle
  • Go the extra mile to engage customers - Use consultative sales skills to communicate the value and benefits of Learning Ally that best match the needs of our customers
  • Develop new opportunities with existing customers by following up on all incoming calls and leads to ensure every customer opportunity is given professional and proper attention with our products and services fully explained in order to generate revenue growth

Job Requirements

Education:

High School diploma or College degree, BA preferred

            Work experience:

            • Tele sales experience required, preferably in K-12 education industry, true hunter
            • Minimum of 2-3 years proven inside sales/tele sales experience .

            Specific Skills/Knowledge:

            • Demonstrated record of success in a goal oriented in a highly accountable environment
            • Demonstrable knowledge of social selling

            WHO WE NEED

            The Sales Development Representative is a position within the sales organization responsible for outreach to association and nonprofit professionals to generate business opportunities. Your role is to understand prospect needs and determine whether and how Personify can address those needs. For those who are qualified prospects, the SDR’s role is to persuade them to engage with Sales.

            You will have an interdependent relationship with both the marketing and sales team-- you’ll receive support from them to meet your goals, and you’ll also be supporting their goals. It is important to have a value-added mindset-- how do I help the prospective client-- and be willing to continue to learn and be curious. By adding value to the prospect, you will create value for Personify.

            Success in this role will be measured by your ability to generate new qualified sales leads from those who are a great fit for our technology solutions.

            HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

            • Generate and qualify new sales opportunities through outbound calling and email campaigns.
            • Identify and qualify decision makers amongst the targeted call campaigns.
            • Conduct a large volume of outbound calls to prospects to research, communicate with, and qualify potential clients.
            • Capture accurate and complete information in the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) by maintaining and expanding the database of prospects and tracking activity
            • Attend sales group meetings
            • Stay up to date with new products/services.
            • Support sales process and sales lifecycle as needed.
            • Initiate relationships and develop rapport with key executives and contacts at prospect companies by anticipating needs and understanding unique objectives.
            • Regularly synthesize multiple sources of information while making recommendations.
            • Knowledge of end-to-end Marketing and Sales process. Uses process management to aid in personal development, territory saturation, deal discussions, and monthly forecasts

            WHAT YOU BRING

            • 1-3 years Inside Sales or other relevant marketing experience preferred. Experience cold calling is a plus
            • Professional phone presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

            • Preferred SalesForce CRM experience
