The Senior Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist will play a critical role within the Accounts Payable team which is responsible for processing the day-to-day purchase activities of the business. This role will support the Sr. AP Supervisor under the direction of the Sr. AP Manager. The Sr AP Specialist will work cross functionally with other departments to provide administrative and accounting support through their expertise in vendor management and application of GAAP concepts. 

Essential functions  

  • Responsible for successfully executing full cycle accounts payable in a high-volume environment with 80+ invoices per day with high attention to detail and accuracy.  
  • Manage vendor record setup, code bills and purchase orders (POs) using 2-way and 3-way match, multi-dimensional coding, and secure appropriate supporting documentation as per accounting policy.   
  • Audit employee expense reports in accordance with general ledger (GL) coding guidelines, approval matrices, and company policies.  
  • Administer AP policies and processes. Train, educate, and assist the organization with credit card use and expense submission process within internal systems 
  • Reconcile credit card statements and obtain supporting documentation 
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting 
  • Managing specific deal exceptions while following internal processes 
  • Prepare and input journal entries to record AP transactional activity in the general ledger 
  • Support accounting activities as needed and other ad hoc requests 
  •  Collaborate with departments throughout the company to resolve inquires in a timely manner 
  • Strong customer service and communications skills working with internal and external parties.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Agronomist to join our team at Pivot Bio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agronomy, with a focus on commercial crop production and management. As a Commercial Agronomist, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our clients in optimizing their crop production practices and achieving maximum yield and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with Pivot Bio sales representatives and growers to help ensure their success while utilizing our products.
  • Active participation in training events, including modern nitrogen advisor. Leading quarterly team data share events with reps in region. Additional local trialing outside of required trials.
  • Lead delivery of technical product knowledge and best practices to employees, sales representatives and growers.
  • Communicate and complete stewardship and compatibility information and testing to ensure product viability and proper use of Pivot Bio products.
  • Facilitate On-Seed application equipment set up and testing to ensure successful use of on-seed products with reps.
  • Train on nitrogen education initiatives to educate reps and growers on efficient nitrogen management practices, including nitrogen application timing, rates, and sources.
  • Provide sales support by collaborating with sales teams to promote and sell Pivot Bio products and programs to clients. This can be done by assisting the TSM with farm calls, trade shows, field tours.
  • Collaborate with local Product Innovation agronomists regarding product testing and validation efforts, as well as general knowledge of extension work, university efforts and other partnerships.
  • Promote sustainability program through grower education on program details, implementation, and data requirements.
  • Recruit, execute and review results of on farm commercial product demos with growers to characterize and demonstrate Pivot Bio product performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial agronomy or crop consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of agronomic principles, crop physiology, and soil science.
  • Experience with crop modeling, precision agriculture technologies, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The target geographical area of this role focuses on the corn growing regions of the Western United States, such as the states of South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, and other nearby regions. The ideal candidate will reside within this region.

Responsibilities:

  •  Provide regional leadership and management to Commercial Agronomists in geographical area.
  • Lead technical product knowledge transfer and product demonstration trialing efforts for the assigned team of Commercial Agronomists.
  • Support and facilitate commercial activities including product placement suggestions, marketing support, and sales staff training.
  • Develop relationships with Pivot Bio growers and sales representatives to help ensure their success while utilizing our Pivot Bio products on their operations.

We are seeking a sales training professional who has experience developing and delivering training programs that improve sales effectiveness and performance.  As the regional training lead, this individual must have strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills to create alignment and adoption around new rep onboarding and continual training initiatives.  Specifically, the efforts led by this role will enable our sales professionals to be recognized by our customer as the trusted advisor network for sustainable Nitrogen farm solutions.  The Sales Effectiveness Manager will partner directly with the Regional Sales Lead and Commercial Agronomy Lead to understand key areas of opportunity and close these learning gaps with a comprehensive training plan.  The targeted audience this position focuses on in terms of a training strategy is both the independent rep network as well as Pivot Bio’s commercial field sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify regional skill gaps and training needs through various methods such as customer and rep feedback, coaching and observation, and proactive business planning sessions.
  • Prioritize needs according to business impact; propose strategy and training plan to address key areas of opportunity.
  • Facilitate training programs for both external rep network and internal field sales teams.
  • Use sales performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness of training strategy and adjust plan to improve overall rep effectiveness as a key competitive differentiator.
  • Directly responsible for regional design and implementation of new sales rep onboarding program to activate sales and improve rep productivity as measured by company sales revenue.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

As a Territory Sales Manager at Pivot Bio, you will be responsible for driving sales within your assigned territory, focusing on cultivating relationships with agricultural clients and promoting our innovative microbial solutions. Your role will involve strategic business planning, sales team training, territory management, conducting sales calls, recruiting and managing representatives, and executing effective prospecting strategies.

Job Title: Product Strategy Director

Summary/objective

As the director of product strategy, you will be responsible for leading the development and validation of new product concepts and business cases for our product portfolio. You will work closely with the product development, marketing, and sales teams to understand the market needs, customer pain points, and competitive landscape. You will pull together market research, financial analysis, and feasibility studies to assess the viability and profitability of new product opportunities.

Essential functions.

  • Lead the ideation and generation of new product concepts for our product portfolio, leveraging your technical and business expertise.
  • Develop and present compelling business cases for new product initiatives, including the product vision, value proposition, target market, revenue model, and go-to-market strategy.
