Job Title: Beverage Director
Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 annually
Location:Hybrid. The Din Tai Fung USA Corporate Office is located in Arcadia, CA.

About the Role:
The Beverage Director will manage and elevate the Din Tai Fung beverage program across bars, restaurants, and room service. Lead a team to maximize profitability and efficiency, ensuring impeccable service, hygiene, and beverage preparation. Ignite customer passion with thoughtfully curated drink menus, and introduce exciting beverage specials.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supports the overall organizational strategy by developing and delivering operational plans and outcomes for the Beverage function
- Develops internal beverage marketing plans and work collaboratively with other departments to improve internal relationships in a large organization and to build strong external guest relationship
- Communicates the function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision, and values; clarifies the actions needed to implement this strategy within the area of responsibility; motivates people to commit to the mission, vision, and values and do extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals
- Plans and coordinates the delivery of major events to ensure that they are on schedule and within budget, meeting all deadlines and coordinating activities of all other parties involved in the design, development, sales, marketing, and delivery of the events
- Manages and reports on performance within the department; sets appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and holds individuals accountable for achieving them
- Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable pricing for high-quality spirits, wines, beers, and other beverages
- Plays an important part in the development of quality procedures and standards by certifying processes, qualifying products, and supervising tests
- Implement strategies to increase drink orders, promote high-margin cocktails, and upsell pairings with food
- Optimizes bar layout and workflow for smooth service and increased speed during peak times
- Tracks trends, identify opportunities for improvement and adjust strategy to optimize profitability
- Manages and executes beverage programs for private events and catering
- Trains bartenders, baristas, and servers on menu knowledge, drink preparation techniques, upselling skills, and responsible alcohol service to achieve brand consistency
- Stays informed about industry trends and legal updates related to alcohol service
- Manage the beverage program across multiple cities, extending from the USA to Canada
- Builds processes to improve financial standards like inventory management and actual vs theoretical COGS

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 5 years in Food and Beverage Management within the Food Service, restaurant or hospitality industry
- 3 plus years of Managerial experience
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
- Ability to prioritize and plan effectively
- Must be able to work independently and/or as part of a team
- High energy with a positive, servant leadership attitude
