We prioritize fast iteration without compromising quality while maintaining attention to detail that creates the kind of delightful interactions we’re known for. We’re looking for an experienced, energetic, and thoughtful Staff Software Engineer with a strong full-stack background and experience in front-end development to help us build effective tools for video communication. In this role, you will play a key part in driving technical decisions, mentoring team members and collaborating across teams to deliver exceptional products.

What you’ll do:

  • Build new product features from start to finish, front to back: through conception, research, maintenance, and extension.
  • Lead and coordinate other engineers with a high bar of excellence giving technical direction and feedback on design plans, implementation, code review, and delivery.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Customer Support, and other stakeholders to design and ship features aimed to grow our business and delight our users.
  • Maintain and evolve our infrastructure and tooling, implementing new technologies and establishing best practices across several systems.

You’re perfect for this role if you:

  • Bring 8+ years of experience building and maintaining quality user interfaces that have reached a large audience, ideally while the product is experiencing rapid growth.
  • Have extensive experience writing applications for web browsers and HTTP Servers with our tech stack (TypeScript, React, Node; GCP knowledge is a plus).
  • Possess professional experience with horizontally scalable / distributed systems.
  • Have spent 2+ years elevating the technical skills of teammates in a mentorship or leadership capacity. 
  • Effectively communicate complex ideas in understandable ways to a wide range of personas, including product and support teams.
  • Love the challenges, hours, and ups-and-downs of startup life.

This is a Chicago-based hybrid position with 3 days a week in the office.

About this role

We’re looking for a Digital Marketer to elevate our digital presence and drive growth through strategic website management, SEO optimization, and top-of-funnel marketing initiatives and form field conversions. In this role, you’ll OWN everything on our website, implement SEO strategies, drive top-of-funnel lead generation, have resources to support prospective and current customers and improve conversion rates. The focus of this role is to enhance the external web presence of Screencastify, increase traffic and improve sales conversions while simply communicating our products and solutions.

We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding of the latest website techniques and strategies, who can leverage AI and bring an innovative approach to their work.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the company website, ensuring it reflects current campaigns, products and brand messaging.
  • Implement and monitor SEO strategies to improve search visibility and drive website traffic.
  • Analyze website performance and conversation rates to identify opportunities for optimization and increased engagement. 
  • Support top-of-funnel lead generation.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns and other initiatives.

You're perfect for this role if you:

  • Bring at least 2-4 years of experience in marketing or a related role, with a focus on website management, SEO optimization and lead generation. We currently use Webflow and having experience here is important.
  • Are a strategic problem solver and can improve our top of funnel and conversion rates with a strong understanding of website management and SEO principles.
  • Possess a solid understanding of lead generation and marketing funnels, and are excited to drive results in the most simple way.
  • Are comfortable analyzing data and metrics to inform decisions and improve performance.

About this role

Be the entrepreneur within Screencastify to identify and create new opportunities of growth. We’re looking for someone that is well rounded and can execute all aspects towards a goal in order to drive expansion of Screencastify. We are initially focused on new verticals outside of K-12 education.

This role owns the full cycle from leading, business development, marketing, product and internal entrepreneurship. You will act as the “internal entrepreneur” leading initiatives and working cross-functionally to innovate, iterate, and succeed in selling our products to new customer bases. It is important to be scrappy, creative and prioritize speed. You will work very closely with the CEO and company executives.

What you'll do:

  • Lead market expansion: Help identify and prioritize high-impact verticals to expand Screencastify’s reach. Develop and implement a strategic plan to enter these new markets and scale effectively.
  • Business development:Drive sales and partnerships in new markets. You’ll manage end-to-end sales cycles and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
  • User research & product feedback: Work closely with customers, prospects, and internal teams to understand new user needs, gather feedback, and inform product development and enhancements. You’ll translate insights into actionable product requests to ensure our solutions meet the demands of each new vertical.
  • Internal entrepreneurship: Think like a start-up founder within the company, helping to shape the future of the company as it expands into new verticals.
  • Sales enablement & marketing collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to create tailored campaigns, materials, and messaging that resonate with your target verticals. Provide insights that influence content, product positioning, and sales strategies.
  • Website & platform updates:Work closely with product and design teams to ensure our platform and website speak directly to the unique needs of new target audiences. Stay involved in refining user experience and content strategy for broader market appeal.

You're perfect for this role if you:

  • Have 5+ years of experience in entrepreneurship, business development, sales, or strategy roles, with a focus on expanding into new verticals or markets. Proof that you have started, built and validated business traction before.
  • Are an innovative, entrepreneurial thinker who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments. You have a “founder mentality” and enjoy building from the ground up.
  • Have a strong track record of selling products to new customer segments, ideally in the B2B SaaS space. You’re comfortable with building relationships and selling to customers who may not know about our solution.
  • Can blend strategic thinking with execution—you're as comfortable doing market research and shaping product strategy as you are closing deals and creating go-to-market plans.
  • Possess a deep understanding of market dynamics across different industries and can quickly assess how products need to evolve to meet those needs.

The Accounts Receivable Associate will manage the billing and collections process for Screencastify using Chargebee, Salesforce and QuickBooks. In this role, you will ensure customer invoices are accurate, timely and processed efficiently, while also managing the collections process to secure timely payments from customers. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external customers to resolve any billing issues and improve processes. Being flexible and adaptable is important in this role, as you’ll be working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where evolving priorities and product needs will provide opportunities to enhance your skills and contribute to the team’s success. 

What you'll do:

  • Manage the billing process, including generating and issuing invoices, credit memos, and statements.
  • Ensure that invoices are accurate and comply with customer contracts.
  • Resolve billing issues, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or disputes.
  • Manage the collections process, including tracking payment statuses and communicating with customers regarding overdue payments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate billing and collections data is captured in Salesforce, Chargebee and QuickBooks.
  • Analyze billing and collections data to identify trends, and make recommendations to improve the process and increase efficiency.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to billing and collections.
  • Train and assist in managing seasonal staff to support billing and collections activities during peak periods.

You're perfect for this role if you:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) or have equivalent work experience.
  • Bring 5+ years of experience in billing and collections, ideally in a SaaS environment.
  • Have experience using Chargebee and Salesforce - highly preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Can  work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
