Product Manager

Sense is hiring a Remote Product Manager

As a consumer product manager, you’ll be spearheading initiatives to help users understand their energy consumption and find ways to save.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with colleagues across engineering, design, product marketing, and more to enhance users’ experience
  • Own the backlog for a pod of engineers, prioritizing features and writing requirements based on your knowledge of our users and business priorities
  • Conduct ongoing discovery via interviews, surveys, and tests to better understand users’ needs and pain points
  • Working closely with partners in design and engineering, lead the full product lifecycle from discovery to launch and iteration
  • 3+ years of product management experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on metrics-driven action
  • Passion for UX and building products that customers love
  • Ability to distill high-level objectives and market feedback into clear, detailed product roadmaps and definitions
  • Experience working directly with design and engineering teams
  • Consulting or client-facing work experience (nice to have)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excitement for and the ability to thrive in high-growth, rapidly changing environments

Sense seeks a B2B Business Systems Analyst to join the Business Operations team. We are looking for someone who has deep experience in Salesforce CRM administration and Account Based Marketing processes and tools. To succeed, you should both love to drive cross-team conversations on process and system needs with a consultative mindset and dig into system configuration and data quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders across the organization to consultatively identify sales and marketing system needs, document and prioritize them, and work to execute over time
  • Design and implement whole funnel processes and reporting to support multiple sales teams with unique needs
  • Manage and maintain our Salesforce instance, as front-line administrator and internal system expert, including user provisioning, roles, and profiles, customizing records and layouts, maintaining data quality, as well as end-user training and education
  • Research, select, implement, and support new and existing integration apps between systems, including sales activity tracking, order management, and marketing systems
  • Support the Sales and Finance teams through deal pipeline and contracting

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in Salesforce administration and customization.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and managing salesforce instances - roles and profiles, sandbox and deployment management, custom schemas, flow builder, and knowledge of schema best practices.
  • Strong understanding of B2B and ABM software ecosystems and best practices
  • Ability to work independently on technical problems as well as collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance leadership to drive projects to completion.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills with high attention to detail and the propensity to ask “why.”
  • Strong attention to detail and desire for accurate, updated information in all our systems.
  • Open to in-office, remote, and hybrid candidates.

  • Salesforce Certifications: Admin, Developer, etc.
  • SQL and database experience to collaborate with our internal data team as they build cross-company reporting.

Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager

Sense is hiring a Remote Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage the full cycle of accounts payable and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulations. They will also provide support assistance as needed for HR.


Accounts Payable Management:

  • Oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
  • Review and verify incoming invoices, expense reports, and credit card transactions. Record vendor invoices in Bill.com.
  • Set invoices up for payment and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
  • Maintain vendor files and manage vendor relationships.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare analysis of accounts.
  • Assist with month-end closing, including preparing entries for accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, expense allocations, cash application and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Develop and implement accounts payable policies and procedures.

Payroll Management:

  • Manage and process the company’s US payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Review of company’s UK payroll processing.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax reports.
  • Administer employee benefit programs related to payroll, including deductions for health insurance, retirement plans, etc.
  • Address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure proper documentation and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate with HR for new hires, terminations, and employee status changes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of payroll taxes and filings.

Compliance and Reporting:

    • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and company policies.
    • 1099 review and annual filing.
    • Prepare and provide financial reports and analysis to management.
    • Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.

    Other:

      • Provide HR support as needed to Director of People Operations.
      • Assist with special projects and reporting.
      • Assist with accounts receivable as needed in the future.
      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
      • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable and payroll management.
      • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
      • Proficiency in accounting and expense software and Microsoft Office Suite.
      • Experience with NetSuite, Bill.com, Expensify, or Brex is a plus.
      • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
      • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
