Position Overview

  • Monitor and manage commercial litigation/bankruptcy/foreclosure activities, functions and deadlines
  • Direct/monitor/liaise with in-house and outside attorneys, collection agencies and other vendors that support the loss mitigation effort
  • Interact with customers and their counsel
  • Negotiate and prepare settlement agreements
  • Prepare bidding instructions
  • Monitor loss mitigation workout performance and loss severity trends
  • Implement and communicate loss mitigation decisions

Position Overview

Our rapid growth has created an excellent career opportunity for a Valuation Specialist/Appraiser in our Valuation Department. The Valuation Department is responsible for the management of commercial and residential appraisals, BPO’s, AVMs and internal QC review. This position collects, analyzes, and reports appraisal related market data through internal and outside sources. This position will require significant research skills and familiarity with services like Costar, LoopNet, and DataTree are a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Research local real estate markets and identify and confirm sales and rental data
  • Assist appraisers with aspects of completing valuation assignments
  • Reviewing inspection reports to ensure the quality of report and photos
  • Point of contact for the Valuation department regarding report issues and/or missing documentation
  • Manage assistant(s) to insure proper workflow
  • The ability to self-identity, report, manage and resolve critical issues
  • Meeting critical deadlines and ensuring adherence with established production and quality standards and goals.
  • Review internal and external valuations of small to medium-sized businesses throughout the US.
  • Research real estate markets and identify and confirm sales and rental data.
  • Develop internal valuations on small to medium-sized businesses throughout the US.
  • Assist analysts with aspects of completing valuation assignments.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned
  • 100% Excellent English, with exceptional English verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in real estate appraisals/real estate or banking
  • Undergraduate degree (four-year college or technical school), or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Minimum 10 years experience in an applicable risk management or valuation environment
  • Registered and Sworn Valuer for at least 10 years
  • Experience in Costar strongly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint required; Teams experience preferred
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Proactive approach and strong work ethic
  • Excellent attention to detail
