Front-End Developer

Reingold Inc is hiring a Remote Front-End Developer

When you visit a cool website, do you ever inspect the source code to see how it works? Do you find yourself imagining how you would improve a site you’re visiting? Have you ever wondered how web accessibility works? If so, Reingold may be the place for you!

Reingold distinguishes itself from other D.C. consulting firms in one important way: We blend a serious thirst for impact with a not-so-serious culture.

Yes, we flex our muscles as expert technologists, marketers, and designers. But we’re also regular people who care about the human side of showing up for work each day. In other words, kidding around with colleagues (and real kids in our Zoom meetings!) is common at our offices, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Here’s the Role

Reingold is hiring a front-end developer to join our digital experience team of UI and UX designers, developers, and digital marketing professionals. The person filling this position will be integral in helping us execute large web and mobile projects for a variety of clients.

  • Enhancing and debugging web features and helping to gather requirements.
  • Maintaining the Agile process flow and documentation, in addition to being able to work from written specifications and guidelines.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to bring a web design mock-up to life in the browser.
  • Modeling components for content management systems, considering the experience of both the end user and the author.

We’re looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar web development field, or at a year of professional experience in web development (can include internships and freelance experience).
  • Strong skills in semantic HTML and modern CSS, and familiarity with vanilla JavaScript.
  • Experience with Git/shared repositories. (Familiarity with code review/pull request processes and Bitbucket a plus.)
  • Ability to write clean, scalable code.
  • Proficiency using code-editing software such as Visual Studio Code, Sublime Text, or Atom.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to consult and collaborate with senior managers and clients.
  • Curious, problem-solving attitude.
  • Experience with PatternLab and atomic design is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SASS/LESS preprocessing languages, jQuery, Bootstrap, and React.js a plus.

At Reingold, no one works in a box. We nurture and leverage individual talents and encourage our web developers and designers to continually learn and grow. We offer creative freedom, a collaborative and supportive (and fun) work environment, and an infinite variety of challenging assignments. Each one of our gifted developers and designers contributes unique experience and a fresh perspective to help fulfill our clients’ needs.

Reingold offers competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package, a fun (and sometimes zany) workplace culture, and growth opportunities in a variety of specialty areas. That means when we find good people (and they find us), they stay around for the long term.

Workspace flexibility, too! Reingold employees are working remotely until we can safely return to the offices. We know that creativity happens in different ways for different people, so when our offices open, we’re going hybrid: Staff members will be allowed to choose how many days they want to work in the office.

Reingold is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer. Women, minorities, veterans, and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Senior Frontend Engineer (React)

FamlyRemote job, Remote

Famly is hiring a Remote Senior Frontend Engineer (React)

At Famly, we’re looking for a Frontend Engineer (Copenhagen-based, Lisbon-based or fully remote) to build awesome React apps and UIs to help the thousands of daycares that use Famly have a great experience. Specifically we are looking for someone to be the first frontend developer in our new Payments Crew.

And Famly are...? Well it all began when our co-founder Henrik’s daughter was ready to start at daycare. He couldn’t believe the amount of work being done on paper - and how distant he felt from his first child during the day. The paper ‘parent’ books they exchanged once a month just weren’t cutting it. Together with his friend, our co-founder and CEO Anders, they set about solving that.

These days, the 140 of us building Famly talk about trying to do two things for our 4,000 nurseries:

  • Giving children the best possible start to life.
  • Championing the vital work that goes into making that happen.

We do it with software that brings hundreds of thousands of parents closer to their child’s day while they’re away from them. We also make financial, pedagogical, and planning tools for more than 34,000 childcare professionals, saving them hours and reducing their admin stress.

Ultimately, that gives them more time and headspace for the little ones that really matter. Come help us make that happen.
