What The Day Looks Like:

 

In a typical day a litigation paralegal will be responsible for performing all case management duties including reviewing, summarizing and organizing medical records, tracking and monitoring medical bills, payments, and liens, gathering and organizing documents for discovery responses, depositions, mediations and trial and drafting pleadings and discovery responses. Other typical paralegal duties include communicating with adjusters, attorneys, medical providers, experts and the courts, drafting correspondence and pushing cases forward in the process.  Additionally, a litigation paralegal will attend certain trials to provide paralegal support.

 

More information about our ideal candidate:

 

  • 2 years of personal injury paralegal experience and/or a paralegal certificate is preferred
  • Proven track record of success in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and time management skills
  • Is detailed oriented, well organized, and able to prioritize all in an order to maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency
  • Enjoys providing the highest level of service to clients
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Very computer savvy and able to learn new software
  • Is disciplined and enjoys using processes
  • Must live in North Carolina or be available to travel throughout the state for trial

• Has at least one year of relevant legal experience
• Is computer savvy and enjoys learning new software
• Is detail oriented with the organization skills required to maintain a high level of accuracy
• Enjoys speaking with clients and providing "above and beyond" customer service

 We are seeking to hire a talented Paralegal for our Complex Litigation section. This position will assist with the litigation of class actions, multidistrict litigation, consumer protection, whistleblower, and products liability cases. What The Day Looks Like:

 

This is a litigation practice involving complex case management to include drafting of discovery and pleadings, review of long and complex court dockets, investigation of relevant industries where we litigate, review and organization of medical histories and discovery materials, and preparation and support for depositions and trial . Highly important within this role is providing excellent service for our clients - this includes everything from being the first point of contact if they have any questions, and providing updates on their cases. Other typical paralegal duties are included, such as tracking cases, moving them forward in the process and monitoring them, tracking projects, and maintaining files.

 

 

More information about our ideal candidate:

 

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience is required. This should be mostly in litigation, though relevant experience in other law practice settings, medical, and business administration will be considered.
  • Proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment
  • Possesses the organizational skills required to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Enjoys providing the highest level of service to clients
  • High level of academic success, particularly in a pre-law, pre-medical, or business course of study, is strongly desired.
  • Must live in North Carolina due to state trials
