Overview:

The Payroll Specialist assists in the overall functioning of the payroll department. This individual reports into the Manager, Global Payroll, and the Accounting and Finance team in employee payroll related functions. The position actively embodies skills that will elevate the core values and mission of LivePerson, Inc. 

As a Payroll Specialist, you will help drive the success of the LivePerson Payroll team. The candidate possesses strong organizational and communication skills. The candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to provide solutions for the issues identified. The successful candidate is a competent individual with integrity, accountability, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player. The position requires a “hands-on” person who is flexible, hard-working and able to work well under pressure.

You will: 

  • Process tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, direct deposits and any other payroll related items for that specific country.
  • Establish and maintain payroll files, wage garnishments, child support and unemployment.
  • Semi-Monthly/Monthly Payroll Processing: (approx. 30%)
    • Coordinate information workflow with HR, recruiters, etc.
    • Reviews and analyzes payroll forms and reports for accuracy and makes necessary adjustments or corrections.
    • Ensure accurate and timely close of payroll on a semi-monthly/monthly basis.
  • Internal Communication and Support: (approx. 30%)
    • Respond to pay related inquiries from employees.
    • Recognize sensitivity of information and use thoughtful discretion.
    • Provide resources, support and training for employees.
  • Other Duties and Ad hoc Projects (approx. 5%)
    • Assist with implementation of company-wide payroll initiatives.
    • Assist with any payroll projects.
    • Assist with audit requests from external/internal auditors.
    • Provide support to cross functional teams.
    • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as needed.

 

You have:

  • 1-2 years of working experience of processing payroll
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word)
  • Comfortable using Google products (Email, Shared Documents)
  • Has the ability to analyze payroll data as we are a data driven organization 
  • Familiarity with Ultimate Software (UltiPro) system a plus
  • Familiarity with ActivPayroll system a plus

Benefits: 

The salary range for this role will be between $63,000 to $70,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including, but not limited to your location, skills, experience, education, and/or professional certifications. During the phone screening, your recruiter will provide the location-specific salary range for this role. What you’ll be doing

  • Manage Israeli payrolls of medium complexity by overseeing the receipt, validation, and completion of payroll-related data activities
  • Deliver a world-class employee payroll experience when delivering payroll services and when customers need help, while also resolving any issues that arise with a root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Work closely with our HR and Finance teams day to day and in all project activities, and ensure that the global design turns into local best practice payroll processes.
  • Supporting our HR team in the hands-on collection, calculation, and entering of payroll data, where not handled within our system integration.
  • Ensure the integrity of payroll data across integrated HR and payroll systems. Develop analytical approaches to scrutinize data, apply critical thinking skills, and gather inputs from peers to make informed decisions for rectifying any discrepancies
  • Own or participate in a moderate number of development projects that impact the payroll function Woltwide and on other payroll or business-lead change activities
  • Act as an SME on payroll transformation activities in Israel, drawing current and future needs of payroll, ensuring that the new designs fulfill all local statutory and legal requirements
  • Support payroll teammates with any side activities with their countries such as data collection, employee queries, or off-cycle payments, and when necessary, back up your teammate to deliver payroll services
  • Create, maintain, and improve payroll process documentation.
  • Take ownership of your development plan and collaborate with your Team Lead to achieve your goals
  • Fulfil any additional tasks as assigned by the Team Lead.

Qualifications

  • You have a strong understanding of core payroll management and processes as well as Payroll certification.
  • You have proven experience in a similar role
  • Experience and passion towards payroll and payroll-related technology and processes.
  • Previous experience in payroll with focus on Israel payroll operations and Workday (or other enterprise HR systems) is considered a strong advantage
  • You are a strong communicator, with high working proficiency in English and Hebrew
  • You enjoy taking ownership and solving problems proactively.
  • You know how to use MS Excel proficiently.
  • You work well in a team and are completely comfortable collaborating remotely and dynamically using digital tools such as Slack and Zoom.
  • Possession of a recognized payroll certification is required.
