Join our dynamic team as an Area Sales Manager Metal (ASM Metal), where you'll collaborate closely with the Sales Manager Metal Japan, Sales Manager Japan, and global colleagues in Metal recycling, alongside local partners and suppliers, to drive the promotion and sales of Tomra Recycling products throughout Japan. This role demands extensive travel within Japan and offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to our company's growth and success.

As an integral part of Tomra Sorting KK in Japan, your primary focus will be on spearheading sales initiatives within the Metal segment. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting consultative technical sales activities aligned with our overall Metal Recycling business strategy. Your responsibilities will encompass identifying customer needs and presenting value-oriented business propositions, both technically and commercially. Cultivating and nurturing strong relationships with partners and customers will be crucial to your success, as will staying abreast of industry trends and developments, maintaining close contact with relevant authorities.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in native Japanese with business-level proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment while also being capable of working independently and autonomously.

  • Willingness to travel 80% or more within Italy.
  • Work experience in an industrial environment with a focus on on-site preventive and curative maintenance would be a big plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and x-ray technology.
  • Proficiency in computer programs, PC configuration, network structures.
  • A certain talent for communication when dealing with people - in our case, these are customers.
  • Native in Italian and proficient in English.
  • Full clean driving license required.
  • Knowledge of the metal scrap business and recycling processes is a plus.
