Geo Technology Associates, Inc. is hiring a Remote Branch Manager

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking a Branch Manager to lead our team based in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area. The Branch Manager will oversee a diverse team of engineers, technicians, special inspectors, and subcontractors, managing day-to-day operations to ensure alignment with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Networking, client development, and retention, as well as expanding the staff and revenue of the office.
  • Overseeing engineers and technicians to support their professional growth, while planning, scheduling, and budgeting projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Monitoring office financial performance, with decision-making authority over facilities, marketing, and employee engagement.
  • Writing, editing, and preparing reports, proposals, and other documents with detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • Cultivating strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and secure future projects.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in construction materials testing and/or geotechnical engineering.
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field is a plus
  • PE license preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to effectively coordinate projects
  • Good driving record, valid driver's license and your own vehicle

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking aProject or Senior Geotechnical Engineer based in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area.

Candidates for this position should have 5 or more years of experience in geotechnical explorations and construction observation and testing, ideally in the Virginia area. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven engineer who wishes to take their career to the next level! Responsibilities will include scope and fee development and subsequent management of subsurface investigations, the ability to manage and troubleshoot soils-related issues, engineering analysis, calculations, recommendations, and the writing, preparation, and review of reports and proposals for the services provided.

As the Geotechnical Group Leader, you will provide mentoring and leadership for your team, and ensure safety rules and practices are followed.

You should have excellent business development and marketing skills, proactive in attracting new clients and maintaining existing client relationships. You will assist in the planning, research and evaluation of new market areas, sensitive to business interests and profitability.

Successful candidates MUST have:

  • BS Degree in civil engineering, PE required
  • MS Degree in geotechnical engineering preferred
  • Proven business development skills
  • At least 5 years of experience as noted above

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking a Senior Project Managerfor our Construction Observation & Testing group in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Senior PM's are responsible for scheduling, coordinating and reviewing the activities and reports of all COT field personnel. Senior Project Managers will also collaborate with clients, project managers, subcontractors and other management entities on issues to ensure requirements are met and problems are resolved efficiently.

Senior Project Manager Experience and Requirements:

  • Candidates MUST have at least 7 years of experience working in the construction observation and materials testing field with at least 3 of those years as Project Manager.
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field is a plus
  • Preparation of final reports and field/laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and structural steel.
  • NICET, WACEL, ICC and/or ACI certifications

Position involves daily interaction with project managers, accountants, and accounting staff. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position offers a hybrid work schedule after 3+ month training period.


    Billing Specialist Job Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Timely processing of billing for multiple locations
    • Producing, reviewing, and finalizing invoices in adherence to project contracts and agreed-upon terms
    • Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, including project managers, accountants, and senior management, to ensure seamless billing processes
    • Maintaining positive relationships with staff and clients
    • Contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of billing functions


    Billing Specialist Job Requirements:

    To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

    • Billing Experience Required! AEC industry or multi-faceted engineering, law, or accounting firms preferable
    • Experience with BST Global, Vision Deltek, Timberline, or Axium is a plus
    • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve billing discrepancies, handle various billing scenarios, and address client inquiries
    • Detail-oriented approach for meticulous review and analysis of project data, rates, and contract terms
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, evolving billing processes, and software systems
