Position Summary:

Provide first-aid and emergency response for all Grand Canyon West facilities.  Assess injuries, administer emergency medical care and transport injured or sick persons to proper facilities. Control and extinguish fires or respond to emergency situations where life, property or environment is at risk.  Duties may include fire prevention, hazardous material response, search and rescue and disaster assistance. Operate all emergency response vehicles and monitor vehicle fluid levels.  Keep vehicles clean and sanitized after use.  Maintain appropriate records and reports. Perform many difficult tasks in hazardous conditions. 

 

Knowledge and Abilities:

  1. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.  Ability to give clear, concise directions or information, be easily understood and record and generate reports accurately.
  2. Ability to function calmly and stay focused in crisis or emergency situations.
  3. Ability to perform tasks in difficult and hazardous situations.  Ability to lift heavy loads, pull hose, climb ladders, work at heights and in confined spaces.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to all emergency and non-emergency situations.  Assess nature and extent of illness or injuries, administer emergency medical care and transport injured or sick persons, if required. 
  2. Clean and maintain station, apparatus and vehicles.  Ensure emergency vehicles are fueled and that the proper tools, supplies and medical equipment are on board at all times. Identify needed repairs or existing safety hazards.   
  3. Complete and maintain proper records and reports for response situations as well as equipment and vehicles used. 
  4. Understand the Incident Command System (ICS) and the fire scene accountability system Standard Operating Guideline as adopted at Grand Canyon West.  Responsible for knowing the layout, physical conditions, locations and target hazards of Grand Canyon West.
  5. Determine best method for attack, control and extinguishing of fires. Use appropriate fire suppression techniques and equipment.
  6. Attend training classes and maintain proficiency to keep current certification licensure and keep abreast of new developments in the field.
  7. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

Primary responsibility is to provide Maintenance and other support services to the Grand Canyon West Airport; secondary responsibility is to provide aid in emergency situations. Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Suggest recommendations to Lead on progress improvements for progressive maintenance programs.
  2. Perform maintenance and repair of equipment, structures, vehicles, machinery and runways at the Grand Canyon West Airport. This may include painting, grounds keeping, mowing, road repair, snow removal, heavy equipment operation and maintenance, repair of runways, lights, signage and airport facilities. Operate heavy equipment during execution of duties.
  3. Monitor the condition, identify repair needs and maintain logs of maintenance and repair activities for equipment, machinery, vehicles, runways and structures.

Position Summary:

Cash Room Clerks are responsible for handling of all cash in the GCW cash vaults.  Responsible for counting of all currency coming into and leaving the cash vault from the Tour Counter or Retail areas and making cash drops to the Brinks’ machines. Responsible for petty cash fund disbursements and proper record keeping for all transactions.  May also act as Receptionist for Grand Canyon West.

 

Knowledge and Abilities:

  1. Ability to communicate well in a clear concise manner and act as receptionist for incoming calls to Grand Canyon West.
  2. Knowledge of accounting software, use of computer and business software.  
  3. Experience handling cash and managing petty cash funds.
  4. Ability to handle large cash volume, create and balance deposits and fill cash and coin orders coming into the cash vault.
  5. Ability to follow cash handling policies and procedures and recognize when improvements to practices might be feasible.
  6. Ability to work in a team environment, multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationships.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Verify all money coming into the cash vault daily and prepare ‘banks’ for the following days’ operations.
  2. Verify cash vault on a daily basis and replenish currency needs with change orders to Peach Springs. Fill change orders made throughout the day.
  3. Responsible for use and disbursement from petty cash fund.
  4. Maintain files of daily sales reports from the Tour Counter and Retail sales.
  5. Act as receptionist for incoming calls to Grand Canyon West and transfer to appropriate individuals.  Provide information to guests, if requested, concerning Grand Canyon West locations and operations.
  6. Maintain cash vault room supplies and order supplies for revenue centers.
  7. Communicates with Brinks’ office on any issues or needs associated with the Brinks’ drop machines.
  8. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
