The Opportunity

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a hands-on Analytics Engineering Manager to lead, scale, mentor, and drive our Analytics Engineering team in Europe. This individual will guide a skilled team of analytics engineers focused on building innovative analytical products, fostering a data-driven culture throughout our organization, and empowering decision-makers at all levels with a reliable source of truth. This role will collaborate with engineering leaders, product managers, and other data experts.

As an Analytics Engineering Manager, you will be an integral part of the larger data organization, reporting to the Head of Analytics Engineering based in the US. You will influence decisions and the direction of our overall data platform, including Data Infrastructure and Data Engineering. Furthermore, in this role, you will:

  • Build a highly specialized analytics engineering team to support the growing needs and complexity of our product and business organizations.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Provide hands-on coding, design, and debugging guidance to ensure high-quality technical solutions.
  • Set high performance and quality standards, coach team members to meet them, mentor and grow junior and senior IC talent.
  • Own the last mile data delivery for product and business stakeholders.
  • Form a deep understanding of the business, your partners' opportunities and problems, and how data can solve them.
  • Build strong relationships with Grammarly’s functions to generalize data needs and guide the roadmaps of our internal platforms.
  • Continuously reevaluate our data ecosystem against industry best practices and new third-party technologies to ensure Grammarly’s analytics stack remains best-in-class.

Qualifications

  • Is excellent at using SQL for data pipeline development on top of a modern data warehouse (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift etc.)
  • Has 8+ years of work experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Product Analytics, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Has demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team
  • Has strong project management skills and a track record of delivering complex projects
  • Has strong analytical and critical thinking skills, high attention to detail, and a strong bias toward impact and actionable insights.
  • Has a passion for communicating insights through the language of data.

Overview:

The Revenue Analytics Manager will be pivotal in conducting advanced analytics to drive insights and recommendations across the Sales, Advertiser Success and Marketing teams. This role is critical in advancing our revenue analytics capabilities, from identifying business challenges to implementing solutions that drive growth and efficiency. A successful candidate will lead critical operational processes including quota setting, account segmentation, and in-depth analysis of performance indicators to support our leadership in assessing and enhancing revenue performance.

About the Job: 

  • Take ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual Revenue Analytics processes, including Account Segmentation, Account Planning, Quota Planning, Sales Performance Management, and Customer Health monitoring.
  • Conduct data analysis to draw conclusions and provide recommendations. Develop a deep understanding of our business, delivering strategic insights to guide decisions across go-to-market teams.
  • Champion the automation of analytics processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. Identify opportunities for streamlining workflows and implement solutions that enhance the speed and reliability of data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate on developing a comprehensive end-to-end lifecycle marketing strategy to maximize customer engagement and lifetime value.
  • Identify initiatives to enhance customer retention, decrease churn, and boost upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Manage and execute initiatives from start to finish, including cross-functional project management, data collection and manipulation, analysis and modeling, and the communication of insights and recommendations
  • Conduct complex root cause analyses on intricate business problems, synthesizing insights, and developing clear and concise recommendations. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to inform strategic decisions.
  • Spearhead the design and analysis of data and business processes as required to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain analytics dashboards and process documentation, including a document repository and standardized reporting frameworks. 
  • Work closely with partners across Sales, Strategic Finance, Product Analytics, Product, and Marketing to align efforts and decisions with data.

About You: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in revenue and/or analytics or business intelligence, preferably within a tech or e-commerce environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Mode).
  • Strong understanding of sales operations and pipeline management.
  • Experience in data governance and understanding of sales and martech tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work across functions and influence change.
  • Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset, capable of translating complex data sets into actionable insights.

  • Experience and knowledge of statistical modeling techniques. A/B Testing experience in a product analytics capacity is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner


The base salary hiring range for this position is $108,900 to $189,700. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
