LivePerson Voice: LivePerson's revolutionary CCaaS product offers a seamless customer experience across any voice or digital communication channel. Unlike traditional competitors that are optimized for agents and built on selling seat licenses and telco minutes, LivePerson Voice aims to minimize agent seats through increased use of automations with high containment, reduce telco minutes, and overall operating costs while dramatically improving customer satisfaction (CSAT). LiverPerson’s VoiceBot is a product offering that provides real-time voice conversations between bots and consumers. We are looking for a full stack SDE II with frontend focus to join our team. In this role you will develop, design the C2M services using NodeJS and Javascript.

You Will

  • Build and maintain scalable web applications
  • Develop Javascript backend services (with NodeJS)
  • Deliver testable, maintainable, and high-quality code
  • Engineering duties include technical design, implementation, testing, support and participation in peer code reviews.
  • Collaborate and interact with multiple engineering and Product teams

You Have

  • 4+ years of experience in development of Microservices, RESTful API, backend systems
  • Frontend Web Frameworks - Vue, Angular
  • Backend Web Frameworks -  NodeJS
  • Code repository and deployment pipelines - GIT, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Relational or non relational databases experience, including MySQL and Cassandra.
  • Experience in Kubernetes is a plus
  • Experience in AWS is a plus
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or another quantitative field.

You should be an expert in:

    • Strong programming skills in NodeJS/Typescript (3 years) - MUST
    • Working knowledge of technologies such as Kafka, Redis and NoSql (1 year) - MUST
    • Experience with Git (1 years) - MUST

ABOUT THE ROLE-We are looking for a new leader to drive the Storage Platform team for Instacart. This role will be responsible for working with all of our internal business facing service teams to ensure they have highly scalable storage solutions that can power their businesses as they grow. Influencing the ‘how’ and ‘what’ we build to ensure our data systems scale will be at the heart of this role. Figuring out how to introduce new technology solutions while bridging improvements to existing systems is essential. Collaboration across many diverse businesses and teams in a fast-paced evolving environment is a key part of this role.

 

ABOUT THE TEAM -  Come join the leadership team of Instacart’s Infrastructure Pillar! The Storage Platform team is responsible for designing, building, and operating our next generation of storage solutions that the entire organization builds and runs on. You will be responsible for the long term architecture of these systems. As part of that you will be responsible for establishing the best platform components and leading the company to choose the right storage solutions for the problem domain. You will work closely with all of our internal tech pillars to help them scale and deliver their services. The Storage Platform team is also responsible for making sure we have high uptime and will work across all of Engineering to set up processes, policies, and automation to ensure our systems remain highly available & reliable. You will be the thought leader on operational best practices for storage

 

ABOUT THE JOB

  • You build for our internal customers, define the roadmap and help prioritize work for your team, making difficult tradeoffs on design based on business constraints, ensuring on-time deliverables and high-quality software.
  • You will provide hands-on technical management, guidance, and support  and ultimately be responsible for the health of the systems and tools your team builds.
  • You will participate in interviewing, hiring decisions, on-boarding, and mentoring of new engineers with the goal of quickly making them productive members of your team.
  • You will develop a team culture of ownership that reinforces the core values of Instacart!

 

ABOUT YOU

Minimum Qualifications

  • An inspirational and effective leader in a fast-paced environment with the ability to be highly adaptive.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team of Senior & Staff Software Engineers
  • The ability to balance business needs, a sense of urgency, and shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions
  • Experience with full-stack development and operating in a large Cloud infrastructure provider (i.e. AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with operating distributed data storage systems at scale, both RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
  • Strong analytical skills and an even stronger sense of ownership

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field 
  • Experience with AWS

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.

The current range for this role is $125,000 - $195,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build and train supervised and unsupervised machine learning models.
  • Design and evolve machine learning pipeline for applications across the stack.
  • Optimize machine learning and relevant data processing code for scale and robustness
  • Document software functionality, system design, and project plans; this includes clean, readable code with comments.

Who You Are

  • Proficiency with machine learning methodologies.
  • Good knowledge of hosted and open source ML services like AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud ML, TensorFlow, Pytorch or others
  • Experience with methods and tools (Textract, ABBYY) for extracting relationships, structure and text from documents and/or general natural language processing skills
  • Proficiency in Python, R or other programming languages
  • Experience working with Relational or NoSQL database storage
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of collaborators on a technical level.
  • A strong ownership mentality and aim to take on the most ambitious problems.
  • AWS experience is a plus.
  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study (or equivalent practical experience.).
