Compensation

Sezzle is a remote U.S.-based company listed on NASDAQ. Our salary ranges are as follows:

  • $2,000 - $6,600 USD gross per month (Based on experience and performance during the process)

About the Role:

In collaboration with business team leaders, you'll contribute to the formulation of monitoring metrics and performance objectives. Your responsibilities will include writing SQL queries, generating charts, and developing dashboards. While your primary work will be with the Product team, there may be instances where you support initiatives across various departments such as Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Support, Legal, or People Operations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Degree in statistics, math, actuarial science, economics, data science, computer science or related quantitative discipline
  • 4+ years of professional experience working with data, which can include: complex dataset creation, reporting, profiling, and machine learning
  • Expert in using SQL to extract data and create actionable data sets
  •  Experience with Python for data processing and analytics
  • Ability to complete analyses with minimal guidance
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Redash, Tableau, Looker or Power BI
  • Comfortable making impactful decisions in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment, able to pivot quickly to new priorities
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business judgment and communication skills
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline

ScienceLogic is looking for a (Associate) Technical Support Engineer (TSE) to provide high quality, enterprise level, technical support on our Restorepoint products for our customers, partners and other ScienceLogic team members. Restorepoint is a device configuration backup and restore solution for hybrid IT environments.

Candidates who excel in Technical Support positions possess excellent knowledge of systems and networks along with an enthusiasm to rapidly learn the newest technologies. Restorepoint provides script-free network automation for more than 100 network, security, and storage vendors. Deployed in less than an hour, Restorepoint helps customers, managed service providers and IT support businesses to substantially lower their exposure to often unforeseen security, compliance, and availability risks.

The (Associate) Technical Support Engineer provides support for ScienceLogic’s entire Restorepoint product suite. 

  • Acts as a Tier 2 escalation point for all customer issues.
  • Assists with all support cases during periods of heavy volume.
  • Leads support efforts for customers who have been determined to have Critical value.
  • Coordinates with Customer Success Managers to address any technical issues impacting a Customer’s success.
  • Actively engages Technical Support personnel to ensure proper handling of customer questions and issues to which they have been assigned.
  • Escalates software bugs or feature enhancements to ScienceLogic’s research, development, and product management teams.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert in more than one area of the product.
  • Autonomously works on projects and more complex assignments with tangible results delivering benefits to the organizations.
  • Proactively looks for ways to improve processes and innovate the support experience.
  • Builds relationships and partnerships with other ScienceLogic teams.
  • Mentors and trains new team members.
  • Proactively shares information and expertise regarding recent fixes, and best practices.

Qualities you possess…

The key to being successful in the (Associate) Technical Support Engineer role within ScienceLogic is being an analytical thinker and an excellent communicator. You must be passionate about helping customers be successful with Restorepoint. The following skills and experience are also necessary:

 

  • 2+ years prior experience in the support of complex, Linux based enterprise software applications.
  • 2+ years Linux administration. Must be familiar with common administrative commands as well as able to write scripts in one of the major shells.
  • 2+ years networking experience. Must demonstrate experience with firewalls, routers, packet sniffers and general network fundamentals (Cisco, Check Point, Juniper, HP).
  • 2+ years MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite experience. You should be able to construct SQL statements to query and occasionally update information in a MySQL database.
  • 2+ years SNMP experience. Must demonstrate familiarity with snmpwalk, mibs and oids.
  • Detailed understanding of Server virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, AWS).
  • One or more scripting/programming languages (Bash/POSIX, Perl, Python, C, Go, PHP) – Experience with LUA would be a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to professionally perform and communicate in stressful and high impacting situations.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • At least 3 years of professional Software Engineering experience in dynamic languages such as Ruby on Rails, Java, Python, and PHP as well as SaaS integrated technologies like Sidekiq, PostgreSQL, CI/CD and AWS etc on the cloud.
  • Independent, dedicated, and able to deliver production ready code with high autonomy and minimal guidance.
  • A desire to learn and grow on the job.
  • Building with quality and rigor in mind, and a constant focus on the impact our code has on our customers’ financial well-being.
  • Must be physically located and eligible to work in Turkiye
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.

Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 daysper week (or more depending on role). Supply and Demand team’s mission is to make Wolt cities efficient for our customers, merchants and couriers, as well as making running the cities smooth for our operations people. This is done by building tools and features that help achieve balance between supply (number of Courier Partners online) and demand (home delivery orders from consumers) by surfacing the forecasts to both our Courier Partners on the Courier App and and Wolt operations, as well as creating ways to dynamically influence the supply and demand. As a backed engineer you will have a chance to work on topics around courier engagement and activation bonuses. That can be fun and rewarding for several reasons: 

  • This field encourages innovative approaches and experimentation. You can try out new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to see what works best.

  • You often collaborate with various teams such as data science, product management, and operations.

  • Designing systems to optimize courier activation and bonuses involves solving complex logistical and algorithmic problems.

  • The need for real-time solutions means you often work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

At the moment, the team consists of two frontend developers, several backend engineers and data scientists as well as the engineering team lead and product lead. The main programming languages on the team are Python, Scala, and Typescript (React) and since the team also works closely with Data Scientists so this is a great chance to learn a lot about data science if you have a knack for it!

Qualifications

???? You have solid experience designing, building, and integrating quality software (microservices) in Scala on a large scale within a complex domain with strong focus on event-driven approach where the decisions need to be made in online manner.

???? You have knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, observability (Data Dog or similar tools) and data storages, both SQL and noSQL databases. We are actively using multiple solutions: postgresql, dynamodb, mongo, redis.

???? You’re a dedicated person who is pragmatic with a positive attitude, who doesn't shy away from going outside of their comfort zone, and demonstrates curiosity and willingness to keep continuously learning.

As part of our growing Revenue Operations domain, we have established a team called Business Architecture & Technology. Your role in this will be to help us design and implement new data structures and integrate new tools to support this. Think of it as this - we need to make sure the commercial aspect of Pleo is happening as smoothly and efficiently as possible. We achieve this by designing and maintaining the tech stack, extensions, and related processes. We are a leading design customer of many vendors and always aim to push our tools above and beyond. 

In Pleo, Revenue Operations is a cross-functional discipline that goes across many areas, such as the demand and opportunity management process, sales planning and forecasting, and monitoring business performance. Hence, this is a unique opportunity to learn more about the many different aspects of running a business, the decision processes and prioritisation needed to execute strategic projects, and insights into where the company is going - almost like a front-row seat!

What to expect in the role ????

In numbers: 75% of your time will be spent working with our data models, data pipelines and creating easy-to-understand and readable documentation, while the other 25% of the time will be discussing priorities with our stakeholders.

  • You will design, develop and maintain high-quality, scalable data pipelines and datasets for commercial teams.
  • Own the ETL and rETL (reverse ETL) processes and enable data activation in your stakeholders' projects.
  • Optimise performance and scalability of existing data pipelines and datasets through code refactoring and infrastructure improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HubSpot, Vitally and Iterable configuration, resolving bugs and tickets that might rise.

What we need from you:

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a data engineer, data analyst or a proven track record working as an analyst in a similar operations position.
  • Business understanding of what data activation means and how your work impacts commercial teams in the front line (such as Sales, Marketing and Customer Success).
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience with SQL. Understanding of dbt.
  • Experience writing digestible and accessible documentation for your stakeholders.
  • Experience building or maintaining ETL pipelines with Python, nodeJS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and languages.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality results within deadlines.

What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications):

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of operational experience at scale in database management with at least 6 years focused on PostgreSQL.
    • Extensive experience managing PostgreSQL databases in cloud environments, particularly Azure. Experience with GCP is a plus but not required.
    • Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines, Database/Schema as Code tools, and Git workflows.
    • Expert level experience analyzing and tuning queries to improve application performance.
    • Experience with database recovery, including point-in-time recovery and transaction wraparound process remediation.
    • Experience with management of Postgres Vacuuming process, able to design and implement processes and standards to prevent production impacting Vacuuming events.
    • Experience with PostgreSQL upgrade processes.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture, performance tuning, and query optimization experience with Azure Query Performance Insight is a plus.
    • Advanced knowledge of operating databases at large scale in cloud-managed environments including optimizing for cpu, memory,IO usage and cost management.
    • Proficiency in automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Flyway.
    • Strong understanding of security practices and compliance frameworks.
    • Extensive knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, index design, statistics and wait types.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive long-term database solutions aligned with business goals.

The base salary hiring range for this position is $108,900 to $189,700. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
