What you’ll do

  • Working with the lead product designer, you’ll collaborate with others to shape and edit the UX and product language for all Sendle messaging experiences, using the established style guide for UX writing
  • Write product copy in line with the overall design and product objectives, as well as Sendle’s overarching product strategy and digital design vision
  • Get to know Sendle customers via surveys, interviews, and reports, and champion the voice of Sendle customers in everything we build
  • Engage with and understand the Sendle product so you can explain how it works to customers
  • Based on contextual briefs and your understanding of the Sendle product, use your writing skills and user experience principles to anticipate user problems, then craft UI and support content that helps Sendle customers successfully use the product
  • Interpret customer and business data and use it to influence product copy and overarching communication decisions
  • Share your expertise for everything UX writing and content strategy by communicating your rationale to stakeholders and backing it up with data from testing and iterating
  • Partner with product designers, product managers, engineers and marketers on communication that serves a global audience and helps customers and Sendle achieve their goals
  • Work with a cross-functional team to optimise Sendle’s existing onboarding and product email and dashboard flows, including any design changes, user alerts, help text and error messages
  • Using established workflow processes, write and review product-related support material like tracking updates, transactional emails, support macros, help centre content and marketing collateral
  • Provide guidance and writing assistance to other teams to help communicate changes to the product or service, which occasionally will include API documentation, pitch decks and website pages

What you’ll need

Working remotely, you’re a high-level writer tasked with leading the UX writing function at Sendle. Your writing is naturally warm, clear and friendly – and you’re excited about helping our customers send parcels across the world. 

Meticulous about all the writer things like punctuation and grammar, you’re a cross-functional word person who is just as comfortable writing for user interfaces and emails as you are writing for marketing sites and blog posts. No matter where it appears, you have a knack for adapting your style to suit different audiences, mediums and situations – and for creating human conversations with our customers.

  • You have a degree in communication or related discipline (journalism, marketing, public relations). 
  • You have applied experience in UX writing / content design.
  • You’ve got a strong background in digital copywriting.
  • You have a portfolio of work writing for digital products and across different platforms.
  • You can pick up an established voice and tone and run with it in your writing, using discretion for the audience, medium and situation.
  • You’re curious about humans, and can interpret research and data to solve problems with words.
  • You can identify success metrics and then work backwards to ensure you and the team are meeting them.
  • You have a knack for translating complex logistical terms into language that’s easy (and fun!) to read.
  • You get a kick out of collaborating with others (even if you’re remote) to get the best outcomes for Sendle customers.
  • You don’t mind juggling multiple projects, managing expectations and working within deadlines.
  • You’re a bit of a stickler for spelling and grammar.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and iterating to a solution when there is no clear path or answer.
  • You are comfortable to raise your hand for help and seek other opinions when you get stuck.

About the team

How you’ll spend your time 

  • Working closely with the Product Manager and Lead Engineer to scope, shape, design, and deliver elegant product experiences for our customers. 
  • Solving critical customer pain points and helping to meet business goals.
  • Understanding our customers and how they use our product by validating your solutions and measuring impact.
  • Demonstrate product vision to help shape, and improve the customer journey through our product. Influence the user experience design, solution, and implementation to build customer trust in our service.
  • Driving the design process from start to finish. From research through to design assets, implementation quality, and release strategy.  
  • While becoming a subject matter expert in your team's area of focus, you will also be collaborating with the rest of the Design Team to improve the overall look and feel, design consistency, standards, and patterns of Sendle.

A day in the life of our Data Reporting Analyst

Our Data Reporting Analyst's goal is to enable the business to leverage data to drive decisions by providing key reporting, data pulls, and ad-hoc analysis.

A day in the life of our Staff Accountant

Our Staff Accountant’s goal is to support the day-to-day functions of the accounting department. From creating and processing customer invoices to account reconciliations,  this role requires significant collaboration with both accounting and non-accounting internal teams, and with our external customers.

This role is a temporary position with the possibility of going permanent. 

This will include various stand-alone tasks as needs arise, as well as some regular responsibilities, including:

  • Creating invoices to Direct Bill customers
  • Managing collections, including applying payments to outstanding invoices, following up with customers on late payments and sharing weekly aging reports with internal stakeholders
  • Onboarding Direct Bill customers, including answering questions and performing credit checks
  • Responding directly to customers on inquiries or requests
  • Preparing daily transactional journal entries, month-end journal entries and account reconciliations for AR and other miscellaneous accounts
  • Performing various tasks, as needed, in support of our annual audit and applicable governmental reporting requirements in the US, Canada, and Australia
  • Provide continuous feedback for process improvements as operations scale

You have

  • Expertise handling Accounts Receivable transactional accounting
  • Experience with collections activities, including follow up on aged balances directly with customers
  • Experience handling direct communication with external customers on a day-to-day basis, including answering / fielding customer questions
  • General Accounting knowledge and experience, including GL coding, variance analysis and reconciliation procedures
  • Experience with creation of manual adjusting journal entries
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, Excel is a must
  • Ability to work at least 4 hours overlapping with US Pacific Standard Time, Monday-Thursday

Content Lead

We’re looking for a Manila-based Content Lead to grow Sendle in Australia.

You’ll drive engagement, parcels, and ultimately revenue by delivering the right content at each stage of the customer’s journey as well as the right content at each stage of our marketing and sales funnels. Our ideal Content Lead will be a skilled content creator, obsessed with creating brand-aligned content that breaks through the noise and aligns to our customers’ needs.

With a passion for understanding Sendle’s small business customers and how we measure up to our competitors, you’ll work with Sendle’s Australia Product Marketing and Sales & Partnerships teams to help translate knowledge into compelling positioning and messaging via content. You’ll take a data-driven approach to developing your content strategy, track success against shared goals, report on progress and learnings along the way, and constantly look for creative ways to improve. 

The person in this role will be working closely with Sendle teammates in Australia. The working hours for this position are 7:00am to 4:00pm PH time.

What you’ll do

  • Develop a quarterly content plan that aligns with the Australian OKRs.
  • Develop compelling content that stimulates new business, helps retain existing clients, and enhances Sendle’s thought-leadership and awareness in the market, to achieve lead targets and revenue goals.
  • Create content across website, email, newsletter, blog, white-papers, case studies, videos, sales enablement, reports and other types of content that aligns with Sendle’s company OKRs. 
  • Leverage SEO principles when creating content to drive business outcomes. 
  • Amplify relevant content organically across Sendle’s social channels to grow engagement and followers.

 

You have

  • B2B Experience
  • Experience in developing content strategy/plan
  • Long form content experience
  • Track record of creating compelling content that attracts and engages target audiences, with a strong understanding of SEO best practices
  • Experience curating content for campaigns and feeding of Sales Enablement and marketing automation platforms

Reporting to the Managing Director, International, the position is accountable for Canadian market development, and the day-to-day operations of the Canadian business. 

What you’ll do

Our Director, Market Development, Canada will work across: 

  • Growth: utilizing your well-honed business development experience and strong business acumen to identify ways to drive growth via partners and different channels. 
  • Market Expansion:own the go to market strategy for expansion in Canada, working collaboratively with product, network, marketing and PR to drive results and build awareness 
  • Collaboration: this role is highly collaborative and hands on, working closely with network, marketing, and product teams to grow our market presence.   
  • Business acumen:  focus on achieving business results, you interpret financial metrics, to guide decision making including setting realistic goals, tracking progress, and making data-driven adjustments to ensure successful market development.
  • Strategy:  leverage market, competitor, and customer research to build the market roadmap while taking both internal and external stakeholders along for the journey
  • Leadership:  you will be a champion for the Canadian business within in Sendle and the spokesperson for Sendle in the Canadian market for PR

You will have a deep understanding of eCommerce and small business customer insights, by blending data with the practical considerations of SMB needs. A bit about the role

As a Business Development Manager at Sendle, you play a crucial role in welcoming, converting, and onboarding businesses to our platform. Fast and personal support is important to us - we believe that positive experiences lead to lasting customer satisfaction. We're seeking an individual with the skill and motivation to navigate the full sales cycle in emerging markets: inbound lead conversion, outbound new business acquisition, and securing new parcel volume from Sendle customers.

What you’ll do

  • Convert inbound and outbound leads into happy Sendle customers 
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business in Canada and the US
  • Develop an excellent understanding of what makes Sendle the right solution for the right customer
  • Achieve growth targets and hit sales goals
  • Identify and implement process improvements for an effective and collaborative workflow
  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in a startup environment
  • Work autonomously within a small, agile team

You have

  • Success as a consultative B2B seller, solutions expert, and customer advocate
  • Experience in shipping, small parcel shipping, and/or ecommerce
  • Excellent phone selling skills with the ability to simplify complex problems for small business customers 
  • A knack for converting inbound leads and constructing outbound pipelines by building rapport, keeping track of the details, and building excitement
  • Commitment to empowering small businesses in Canada and the US
  • Curiosity, coachability & an enduring 'never give up' attitude 
  • Proficiency managing data in a CRM

You might have

  • Verbal and written fluency in French and/or Canadian French
  • Experience working with small businesses in Canada
  • Expertise in Hubspot (or a similar platform)
  • Training in SPIN methodology or similar consultative selling frameworks

  • Base salary plus incentive structure (base salary (target range $70,000 to $90,000 USD depending on experience and skills)
