Job Description

As a Direct Support Professional/Caregiver with Dungarvin, you will be traveling between three different homes and providing staffing coverage, fill-in support, covering staff paid time off, and filling open and/or temporary positions to support individual with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD).  

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care at designated residential homes. 
  • Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.   
  • Provide companionship and personalized care with respect and dignity while encouraging independence and self-care.   
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.   
  • Prepare meals and snacks.

  • Community activities and outings.
  • Implementing positive behavior supports.

  • Perform data cleansing and data transformation to ensure data accuracy and consistency for analysis.
  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity to improve the reporting process as well as areas of underperformance. While providing explanations and interpretations of the data aka what story is the data telling us...
  • Generate reports and dashboards to present data findings clearly and understandably to non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Qualifications

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Minimum of 4 years working with data analysis as a primary function of role;  preferably in health and human services.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, and analytical tool's such as Tableau or PowerBI (knowledge of key functions such as Pivot Tables and the use of key formulas such as Vlookups and SumIf statements).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead projects.
  • Intermediate level of data analysis and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills through a variety of mediums, including but not limited to speaking, writing, presenting ideas, and educating others.
  • Experience in standardizing and automating reports and metrics.

  • Making periodic visits to the individual's home to observe implementation of the plan.
  • Training staff on implementation of the plan and assessing implementation of the plan.
  • Monitoring ongoing individual behavioral issues.
  • Coordinating behavioral training/needs assessments.

  •   Be a licensed clinical social worker under IC 25-23
  •   Be a licensed mental health counselor under IC 25-23

OR

  •  Have a master’s degree in a human services field and be able to demonstrate to the BDDS behavior management committee that the individual has either coursework in or five (5) years of experience in devising, implementing, and monitoring behavior support plans
