This senior position reporting to the Director of Planning offers a dynamic opportunity for an experienced demand planner to play a pivotal role in shaping Koala's demand planning strategy while contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

We are looking for an experienced demand planner who is comfortable collaborating across functions to ensure our global demand plans are reflective of the businesses sales and marketing goals.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our planning team during a pivotal period of transformation, as we implement automation into our demand planning framework and drive significant advancements in our processes.

What key responsibilities does this role have @ Koala?

  • Take charge of the demand planning function at Koala, focusing on enhancing the accuracy of our bottom-up forecast and demand plan with system support
  • Collaborate with internal marketing and growth teams to align the demand plan with Koala’s sales and marketing objectives, ensuring a cohesive approach
  • Manage demand related exceptions within our planning platform (significant deviation in sales v forecast, MAPE exceeds threshold, bias swings etc)
  • Work closely with internal product and marketing teams on new product introductions and terminations, ensuring demand planning platform is reflective of any expected cannibilisation, halo, replacement or reference product impacts
  • Assist with commercial endorsements of new products and ranges, providing transparent views on inventory investment while providing feedback on launch timings and plans from an operational perspective
  • Lead promotional planning cycles with broader business units, ensuring operational demand plan is finalised for replenishment within lead times
  • Maintain all master data that relates to forecasting within the planning platform
  • Provide visibility on excess inventory (actuals v risk) & slow moving lines to be actioned by wider team
  • Work with other senior members of the team to reinvent the current Koala ways of reporting in relation to inventory and demand outlooks
  • Attend and provide insights across various Koala forums in relation to demand constraints, drivers, risks and levers
  • Assist with projects to achieve greater efficiencies within planning and across the supply chain

Ideal background…

  • 3 - 5 years experience in demand planning (essential)
  • Experience owning demand reporting metrics (Bias, Error, FVA, MAPE, SWAPE, lags etc)
  • Previous experience with demand planning tools (Logility, RELEX, Anaplan etc)
  • Involvement in previous system/tool implementations is a bonus
  • Advanced analytical skills across Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Previous experience within S&OP and/or IBP structures and processes
  • Experience in a direct to consumer supply chain is desirable
  • Previous exposure to bill of materials / shared componentry - furniture is a plus
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to confidently lead and actively engage in high level discussion & forums
  • A team player that can also work independently
  • Self-motivated, task-oriented and organised
  • Ability to perform in a time sensitive environment

Koala is seeking an experienced 3D artist who specialises in the creation of realistic 3D renders for furniture industrial design and high impact film assets for marketing and communications. Reporting to the Head of Creative, you will be responsible for leading the development of realistic furniture renders to exact specifications, crafting visually stunning, detailed and operational digital representations of our award winning furniture. 

If you’re passionate about crafting the optimum lighting environment to show off hyper-realistic fabrics, and are interested in creating industry-disrupting 3D operational models for a company who’s disrupting the furniture industry, then you should have applied already.

  • Create realistic 3D renders of furniture industrial designs, focusing on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Develop highly detailed and realistic fabrics and materials to enhance the realism of the renders.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling visual assets for promotional materials and marketing campaigns.

What key responsibilities does this role have @ Koala?

  • Improve customer service experience by constantly assessing and developing service procedures, policies and standards to ensure Koala’s is always ahead in the industry,
  • Analyze CS statistics and compile accurate reports on a weekly basis,
  • Recruit, lead, coach and motivate dedicated teams, located both onshore and offshore,

  • Close the customer feedback loop by continuously analyzing customers’ insights and sentiments to promote re-purchase and positive WOM,
  • Monitor resources and utilize assets to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets,
  • Making sure high standard customer services are offered 365 days.

Ideal background…

  • 5+ years experience in providing customer service support (preferably online)
  • Business English language skills and native Japanese language skills
  • Excellent knowledge of management methods and techniques
  • Working knowledge of customer service software, databases and tools
  • Awareness of industry’s latest technology trends and applications
  • Ability to think strategically and to lead
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills

In this role, you will live and breathe all things search marketing,, bringing to the team a keen eye for innovation and an innate determination to achieve success across all channels. As the SEM Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the campaign output, optimisation and innovation across Google and Bing. You will collaborate closely with the wider growth team to gain insights on customer behavior, and build the foundations of your new user acquisition approach. Ideal Background...

  • A self-starting, highly motivated approach is essential.
  • 4 - 6 years experience across PPC management with e-commerce exposure.

We are looking for a CRM Specialist to support our growth team in Japan. The chosen candidate will primarily focus on email marketing, but will also be tasked with running our reviews program via Yotpo. 

What key responsibilities does this role have @ Koala?

  • CRM strategy: Develop and implement innovative CRM strategies, focusing on email & reviews programs to drive business growth and customer loyalty.
  • Accountable from strategy, execution, to operations for CRM
  • Creative problem-solving: Use your analytical skills to continuously refine our CRM approach, ensuring maximum engagement and revenue generation.
  • Perform CRM marketing activities including, but not limited to; campaign briefing, copywriting, email development (including basic HTML coding), email optimisation and testing.
  • Active tracking and analysis of performance metrics, providing data driven insights to CRM and to greater marketing team
  • Lead reviews program: using Yotpo and other tools to strategize review acquisition & management
  • Reporting of success of review & CRM program during key weekly/monthly meetings

Required skills and experience

  • Klaviyo experience ideal but not essential: but candidate must be responsible for up skilling on Klaviyo if chosen
  • Experience in D2C/ecommerce marketing team

  • Data skill (analytics and reporting) and familiarity with google analytics
