Unanet is hiring a Remote Information Technology Systems Support Specialist

Unanet is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Systems Support Specialist to provide exceptional support to company staff and manage our information technology resources efficiently.

Please note, this is a hybrid role, which requires some in-office work at our Dulles, Virginia corporate headquarters. As such, we're looking for candidates who reside in northern Virginia willing to work in-office.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor and manage our ticketing system, providing remote assistance to users with diverse support needs
  • Ensure all support tickets are handled promptly and professionally, with clear communication and documentation of issue statuses and resolutions
  • Assist with maintenance and configuration of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization environments
  • Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) to facilitate the onboarding and offboarding process of employees, including account setup, equipment imaging, and training
  • Support a range of systems including VOIP, Collaboration Tools, Office 365, Active Directory, AWS, Okta, Spam Filters, Antivirus, and MDM/RMM tool
  • Assist in maintaining and tracking IT-related assets and publish technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies to our internal Wiki
  • Engage with third-party vendors as necessary to support IT operations
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery

Your First 90 Days

In your first 30 days, you’ll acclimate to Unanet’s culture, team, and technology stack. You’ll learn our support ticketing system and security practices.

In your first 60 days, you’ll take on responsibilities for installing, administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting computers and servers across multiple locations.

In your first 90 days, you’ll gain confidence and independence in resolving tickets, implementing projects, evaluating solutions, and creating knowledge base and training documents.

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of Helpdesk experience with ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Team player who can work collaboratively with remote team members
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work off-hours as needed
  • Strong understanding of technology products including Windows and Mac OS, networks, mobile devices, and security systems
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical abilities
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

 The salary range for this opportunity is $65,000 - $70,000 per year. You will be eligible for employee equity and discretionary bonus compensation, subject to plans that may be in effect from time to time.
