What You’ll Do:

  • Evolve our Application Security program through collaboration with the software development, cloud architecture, and operations teams to build a security-first culture.
  • Engage with a broad range of technologists and business professionals allowing you to develop experience with emerging cloud-native technology and data driven SaaS platforms.

  • Assist with continuous refinement and implementation of the SambaSafety cyber security strategy by providing feedback gathered from the engineering teams. 
  • Produce periodic, high-quality reports illustrating program status, areas for improvement and success attributes aligning to the SambaSafety security roadmap. 
  • Remain current with new security threats and DevSecOps best practices.
  • Demonstrate security expertise both within SambaSafety and in the industry at large.
  • Assist in aligning the Application Security program with regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Monitor and communicate threat intelligence from various security system resources.
  • Drive and support the remediation of vulnerabilities found in our software products.
  • Respond to cyber security incidents by gathering data and artifacts relevant to the event.

What you’ll need:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in application security and/or software development roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated skill in application security and/or software development with a focus on secure design and coding practices.
  • Exhibit detailed understanding of security threats especially within a cloud-native environment.
  • Proven capability to advocate for security best practices in terms of business value and enablement.
  • Established experience successfully leading large-scale projects across multiple business functions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and the ability to influence beyond reporting structure.

    • Operations.     • Subject matter expert: be the ultimate escalation point for major platform related incidents
    • Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.

    • Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.

    Qualifications

    • Min 5 years of experience in Software Development with knowledge of best practice of professional software development, deploying, and in general lifecycle management.
    • Experience with monitoring solutions, such as: Azure Analytics, Grafana, and others
    • Experience administering and deploying on cloud-based platforms (Azure, AWS, Google and/or others), using infrastructure as code (Cloud Formation, Terraform, etc.), configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet) and pipeline creation tools (like Jenkins).

    This role will be responsible for evaluating, designing, documenting full stack AWS cloud infrastructure. The candidate will collaborate with other internal and external teams to implement solutions. The position will provide all the technical guidance, design specification and solution level support for cloud connectivity, design, and integration.

    Essential Job Functions (Include but Are Not Limited To)
     

    • Develop designs for cloud adoption and migration
    • Ensure full network availability/security during and after a migration into Cloud environment
    • Build CICD pipeline for Infrastructure as Code and Network as Code, based on Ansible, Terraform and AWS cloud formation template, and similar technologies.
    • Collaborate with other technical teams internally and externally to deliver product and solution level support
    • Deliver design documents based on the requirements and best practices
    • Work and communicate with highly skilled IT professionals and senior management
    • Design and implement solutions using network architectural best practices and AWS Well-Architected Framework
       

    Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience building networks and services on AWS
    • 5+ years of experience in IP networking, routing, switching, etc.
    • 2+ years of experience in data center design (Preferred)
    • Knowledge of IaC (Infrastructure as Code) Technologies: Ansible, Terraform, AWS Cloud formation
    • Expert knowledge of IPsec, encryption standards, network security
    • Experience with Cloud networking, storage, infrastructure, and automation tools
    • Exposure to VPC peering, CloudWatch, CloudTrail
    • Knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPBGP, MPLS VPNs (Preferred)

    Requirements and Desired Skillsets:

    • Knowledge on Cloud Networking and Security best practices
    • Knowledge of AWS architectural principles and experience with key networking services such as: Transit Gateway, Route 53, Direct Connect, Firewall, Load Balancer, ECS, VPC, EC2
