Overview: 

Data Engineers serve a unique and important role in daily operations at Wider Circle. Customer data is the bedrock of our business, and Data Engineering is responsible for laying the foundation for our success. Data Engineers work with internal and external stakeholders to gather, validate, clean and move data inside and outside the organization using technology and automation.  Our data engineering team is also responsible for quality curation of data to ensure our products are released on time and with minimal errors and/or bugs.

You will be joining a talented, fully remote Data Science, Engineering and Analytics team that handles a wide range of requests including customer data processing, weekly report automation, new product development and complex data integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data quality and accuracy dashboards, and scorecards to track data quality and model performance.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance a comprehensive data quality framework that defines data standards, quality and accuracy expectations, and validation processes.
• Enhance our data quality through rapid testing, feedback and insights.
• Partnering with Engineering & Product to predict data quality issues and production flaws.
• Conceptualize data architecture (visually) and implement practically into logical structures.
• Performing testing of data after ingesting and database loading.
• Manage internal SLAs for data quality and frequency.
• Provide expert support for solving complex problems of data integration across multiple data sets.
• Updating and evolving our data ecosystem to streamline processes for maximum efficiency.

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience

• Experience with AWS or similar (S3, Redshift, RDS, EMR) 3+ Years
• Strong abilities with SQL & Python 3+ Years
• Building test automation suites for test and production environments
• Experience using API's for data extraction and updating
• Experience with Git and version control

• Experience with Healthcare Data (Claims, CDAs/HRAs, Eligibility)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and execute projects from start to finish.
• Develop and optimize Python and SQL scripts for data processing, analysis, and automation.

Responsibilities for Medicare Sales Representative

● Primarily be responsible for the entire prospective beneficiary cycle that includes but is not limited to lead generation, relationship building, obtaining the Scope of Appointment,

Responsibilities

1. Cross-Department Project Management:

• Oversee project timelines, task assignments, milestones, and deliverables across engineering, IT, security, DevOps, data science, data engineering, and analytics teams.

• Ensure all projects comply with healthcare industry regulations and data security standards (e.g., HIPAA), and with certification requirements (e.g. HITRUST, SOC2, etc.)
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including system configurations, processes, risk logs, and final project reports.

• Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to set up dashboards, reporting metrics, and data integrations that support project visibility and stakeholder insights.
• Assist with setting up data pipelines, configuring analytics environments, and integrating data tools as necessary.

1. Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably within healthcare or a highly regulated industry.
• Certifications in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) or technical fields (e.g., CompTIA, AWS Certified) a plus.

• Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Familiarity with engineering, IT infrastructure, security principles, DevOps practices, and data science workflows.
• Ability to perform and assist with simple technical tasks, configurations, or troubleshooting across various tech stacks, including cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and basic system administration.
