We help make multiple terabytes of data and intelligence available to our digital advertising operations teams as well as clients. Our tech stack consists of Python with PySpark, Scala, Apache Flink, and Postgres for our reporting and dashboarding solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead teams of passionate data engineers responsible for the product development, maintenance, performance optimization, and scaling of our optimization algorithms, data ingestion, and ETL pipelines.
  • Set strategy and contribute to the roadmap for our adtech platform and overall company goals.
  • Monitor the performance of both teams and their respective components of the platform, and work to continuously improve performance and scalability.
  • Engage with Product Management and other Engineering teams to ensure client success.
  • Manage the hiring and development of team members, including setting performance goals, providing feedback and coaching, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration that encourages engineers to share ideas and feedback with each other.
  • Act as a technical advisor and mentor for team members, providing guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

As a Senior Manager, Broadband Grants and Data Analytics, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the Broadband Grant Office on all issues concerning the analytics and addresses and Broadband Serviceable Locations (BSLs) necessary for broadband grant applications, maintaining, and protecting Brightspeed’s service territory through challenges to grant programs, and regulatory filings with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
  • Serve as lead project manager for the broadband grant team for the technical project plans needed for applications and broadband regulatory filings
  • Support the Government and Legislative Affairs team on broadband issues pertaining to grant programs and matters impacting broadband builds before state administrative agencies, state legislatures, and local authorities
  • Advise the business on complex matters regarding broadband grant programs, including drafting processes, business analyses, and risk assessments as needed
  • Serve as trusted advisor to management and cross-functional teams on broadband grant addressing and mapping
  • Provide direction, analysis and input on address reporting and management associated with reporting for Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF), grant compliance and other address related programs
  • Deliver complex messages clearly and persuasively to regulators, government stakeholders in multiple states and technical/business audiences
  • Support the legal department with analysis and mapping for litigation efforts and processes

Responsibilities

  • Contribute as part of a cross functional Agile team to build a large, scalable web application in an open source ecosystem

Research Scientist/Software Engineer, Machine Learning

This hybrid, or remote role from London, will report to a Senior Staff Research Scientist. #LI-Hybrid

The mission of the Waymo Applied Research team is to develop machine learning solutions addressing open problems in autonomous driving, towards the goal of the safely operating Waymo vehicles in dozens of cities and under all driving conditions. As part of our work, we also initiate and foster collaborations with other research teams in Alphabet.

In this role you'll:

  • Work with a creative team of people who are responsible for ensuring that the behavior of our cars is safe, smooth, and predictable to other road users. This includes gracefully handling many complex situations involving social aspects (merging, negotiating narrow roads, etc), while dealing with noisy, uncertain, and incomplete information.
  • Frame the open-ended real-world problems into well-defined ML problems; develop and apply cutting-edge ML approaches (deep learning, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, etc) to these problems; scale them to Google-sized data pipelines; and streamline them to run in real-time on the cars.
  • Collaborate with other teams including the ML infrastructure, data science and systems engineering teams, as well as various research teams such as Waymo Research, Google Brain, DeepMind and academia

At a minimum we'd like you to have:

  • MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience solving problems using Machine Learning with Tensorflow or equivalent tools.
  • Experience collaborating with cross functional teams
  • Strong experience programming in Python with robust and efficient code

It's preferred if you have:

  • Experience programming in C++
  • PHD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience

What you'll do as a Solutions Engineer, Strategic Accounts 

The Solution Engineering organization is responsible for the technical sale of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design and adoption roadmap for our customers. 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Solution Engineering, the Strategic Accounts Solutions Engineer is a Senior level role. You are a customer facing technologist within the Cloudflare Solutions Engineering team. You have strong experience in large account pre-sales management as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills suited for executive-level engagement. You arecomfortable speaking about the Cloudflare vision and mission with C-level customer executives.Your role will be to build passionate champions within the technology ranks at your accounts, drive sales for identified opportunities, and leverage your relationships with these technical champions to build a revenue pipeline where no opportunities yet exist.

You will work within a high-profile pursuit team dedicated to certain strategic accounts, working closely with the strategic account executives attached to these accounts.

Specifically, we are looking for you to:

  • Build and maintain long term technical relationships with the technical buyers (executives, managers and individual contributors) at your assigned accounts, becoming a trusted advisor to those stakeholders.

Cloudforce One is Cloudflare’s threat operations and research team, responsible for identifying and disrupting cyber threats ranging from sophisticated cyber criminal activity to nation-state sponsored advanced persistent threats (APTs).  Cloudforce One works in close partnership with external organizations and internal Cloudflare teams, continuously developing operational tradecraft and expanding ever-growing sources of threat intelligence to enable expedited threat hunting and remediation.  Members of Cloudforce One are at the helm of leveraging an incredibly vast and varied set of data points that only one of the world’s largest global networks can provide.  The team is able to analyze these unique data points, at massive scale and efficiency, synthesizing findings into actionable threat intelligence to better protect our customers.

About the Role

Cloudflare is a system spanning the globe, on a mission to make the internet better, safer, and more powerful everyday.  To help fulfill this mission, we are seeking a talented Malware Reverse Engineer to join us in growing our Cloudforce One Organization, where you will be instrumental in building a proactive and threat intelligence-driven approach to protecting Cloudflare and its customers from sophisticated and ever-evolving global threat actors. This position requires an innovative, self-starting, and detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for analyzing, tracking, and triaging the malicious software used by sophisticated cyber threats.

As a Cloudforce One Reverse Engineer, you will analyze malicious binaries with the goal of monitoring and disrupting cyber threat activity across multiple platforms, supporting both client requests and proactive internal research. You will serve an integral role in the discovery and analysis of cyber threat adversaries, working along side detection engineers to detect attacks and threat researchers to track them. The findings you uncover will help identify Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) of ongoing and ever-evolving cyber attacks to protect our global customer base. Lastly, you will help expand our malware lab environment so that we may modernized and scale our operations to streamline malware analysis within Cloudflare.

Our ideal candidate will have 7+ years of previous experience reverse engineering malware samples and can write reliable code, preferably in Python or Golang. Top candidates will have extensive experience with hands on static and dynamic analysis of common file formats on Windows, macOS, or UNIX-based platforms. We also would like our candidates to have experience writing code to process malware samples and interacting with APIs. As a member of the team you will be responsible for contributing to and deploying team codebases to coalesce traits of an attack. Outstanding candidates will also posses excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate dialogue with the Threat Research Team for reporting on malware and malware families.  You will also work both as a self-driven individual contributor and alongside a team to achieve a common goal.

  • Possess mid-level experience as a Malware Analyst able to reverse engineer various file formats and analyze complex malware samples.
  • Reverse engineering experience with APT malware with an understanding of common infection vectors.

  • Understanding of source code, hex, binary, regular expression, data correlation, and analysis such as network flow and system logs.

Qualifications

  • Proven analytical skills to resolve technical problems effectively, identify and implement process improvements, and think creatively.
