We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer to join our team. You’ll be part of a team responsible for a wide range of applications and infrastructure that empower our employees across the business. In this role you will partner with the business on key technology initiatives and drive business value through innovation, automation and maintaining stability of our applications and infrastructure. You will work with our systems engineering team to deliver solutions while being adaptable to handle complex challenges, processes and situations.
As an IT Systems Engineer, you will:
- Document processes, procedures, run books, and troubleshoot issues as new solutions are deployed.
- Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to ensure solution compatibility and deployment success.
- Automate routine tasks and build sustainable and scalable solutions.
- Generate proof of concept design and review. Coordinate deployments into production.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of key systems including AWS, Azure, GCP, Okta and Zscaler.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Assist in managing vendor relationships including licensing, evaluating new features and aligning technology with business needs.
- Own application integrations and infrastructure monitoring.
- Partner with Engineering, Security and other Technology Teams to support shared infrastructure.
Success in this role looks like:
- How is success measured in the first 90 days?
- Evaluate current state of automation workflows, resolve any ongoing errors and suggest improvements for optimization.
- Write knowledge base articles for new processes and/or troubleshooting steps and review historical data and updating where necessary.
- How is success measured in the first 6 months?
- Assume ownership of current Okta workflows and make recommendations based on design, security, functionality and organizational needs.
- How will success be measured in the future?
- Ongoing partnership with security and IT compliance teams on IAM strategy and execution, which will continue to mature our onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Design and execution of new workflows that will reduce manual processes, save time and resources and process errors.
You should get in touch if:
- You have 5+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years as an IT Systems Engineer.
- You have experience with configuring and administering IdP systems like Okta.
- You have experience with creating automation workflows using Okta.
- You have familiarity in scripting, API and automation using python and bash.
- You have knowledge of networking concepts, infrastructure topology & architecture, scalability and systems engineering.
- You have experience with administering macOS and Windows endpoints in an enterprise environment.
- You have significant hands-on experience working with SaaS offerings and their API endpoints.
