About the Department

Security at Cloudflare is a diverse, focused team committed to helping secure both Cloudflare and our customers.  And the Technical Program Management team is the group that helps connect the dots between threats, risk, business needs, and innovation.  We drive the transformation of security with program and project execution to reduce risk at Cloudflare while partnering to build the best solutions for our customers.   

About the Role

We need to solve big security challenges at scale.  As a Technical Program Manager on the security team, at a high level, you will help discover, define, and drive the execution of transformational security projects  to reduce risk at Cloudflare. You will work with our team and all of our stakeholders to: 

  • Build relationships across Cloudflare’s many teams and be an expert with communication  and maintaining alignment 
  • Synthesize ideas and concepts into executable program and project plans and be the voice of the change
  • Support the long term program roadmap planning, manage project updates aligned with the roadmap and report on project level OKRs 
  • Ensure decisions get made that drive programs and projects forward 
  • Drive alignment on capacity and resource allocation 
  • Identify stakeholders and drive alignment, including dependency identification and tracking
  • Maintain the  backlog of change initiatives and support prioritization
  • Generate cadenced program updates, reports, and metrics that provide executive and board level summaries 
  • Lead conversations with key internal and external stakeholders to make tough decisions, define and prioritize requirements, and estimate work efforts
  • Manage change to scope, timeline, key results/outcomes and budget 
  • Maintain a project management framework using  milestones, communication plans, decision logs, issues, risks, etc. 
  • Facilitate vendor procurement processes
  • Close out projects with readouts on objectives met, sponsor and stakeholder alignment on success, and lessons learned
  • Balance the focus on long term vision and roadmap versus addressing high risk tactical security issues

 

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in technical program/project management, ideally with a focus on security
  • Impeccable change management and communication skills 
  • A knack for ensuring team(s) and stakeholders are always executing toward the outcome
  • PMP PMI certification preferred but not required
  • Comfortable managing tight deadlines, changing priorities, and ambiguity
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Experience building out programs globally and from the ground up
  • Highly experienced at cross functional dependency identification and coordination
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and advance a multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to speak with ease to both engineers and executives

Compensation

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.

Renewals Account Managers, Customer Success Managers, Account Executives, Business Development Representatives, Solution Engineers, and Sales Operations - all working together help our customers adopt Cloudflare and create great Internet-enabled experiences.

The sales team at Cloudflare helps customers solve real, technical problems while creating the revenue streams that help the company provide free service to millions in our community.

What you'll do

As a Senior Renewal Account Manager, you will be responsible for owning and maximizing renewal value of Cloudflare’s largest Enterprise customers. You will do this by building and leveraging C-level relationships and presenting and articulating ROI with key stakeholders.

You will use your strong business acumen and technical understanding to work alongside your account team to articulate business value and make compelling recommendations to customers. 

You will leverage your experience to accurately plan, forecast, and prioritize work in order to maximize outcomes.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Commercial owner and driver of renewal including maintaining and reporting an accurate weekly forecast
  • Customer engagement from onboarding through the entire customer lifecycle
  • Negotiate and execute renewal contracts in accordance with customer objectives
  • Able to prioritize effectively to handle multiple deals at the same time
  • Analyze data and leverage tools to identify opportunities and business value
  • Drive strong alignment with the Sales team, contributing to team forecasting, planning, and targets
  • Own or be an active participant in several customer touch points including: Business Value Justification meetings, Business Reviews, and Renewal Meetings
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with stakeholders in your account portfolio.

Cloudflare’s Billing Engineering Team built and maintains all the internal/external billing related services, product provisioning services and services related to entitlements. About the Team

Cloudforce One is Cloudflare’s threat operations and research team, responsible for identifying and disrupting cyber threats ranging from sophisticated cyber criminal activity to nation-state sponsored advanced persistent threats (APTs).  Cloudforce One works in close partnership with external organizations and internal Cloudflare teams, continuously developing operational tradecraft and expanding ever-growing sources of threat intelligence to enable expedited threat hunting and remediation.  Members of Cloudforce One are at the helm of leveraging an incredibly vast and varied set of data points that only one of the world’s largest global networks can provide.  The team is able to analyze these unique data points, at massive scale and efficiency, synthesizing findings into actionable threat intelligence to better protect our customers.

About the Role

Cloudflare is a system spanning the globe, on a mission to make the internet better, safer, and more powerful everyday.  To help fulfill this mission, we are seeking a talented Principal Threat Researcher to join us in growing our Cloudforce One Organization, where you will be instrumental in building a proactive and threat intelligence-driven approach to protecting Cloudflare and its customers from sophisticated and ever-evolving global threat actors.  This position requires an innovative, OPSEC-savvy, self-starting, and detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for identifying, tracking, and defeating sophisticated cyber threats.

As a Principal Threat Researcher, you will monitor cyber threat activity, trends, and methodologies across multiple platforms, supporting both client requests and proactive internal research.  You will serve a leading role in the discovery and analysis of cyber threat adversaries, their Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), along with applying knowledge of transnational issues and geopolitical developments to understand adversary actions and anticipate their next moves.  Work will involve developing and maintaining sources of threat intelligence to enable analysis, as well as examine and mitigate threats in real-time, leveraging emerging technologies to develop advanced tactical and strategic countermeasures.  You will also collaborate with engineering teams to ensure relevant data and analytics are incorporated in internal platforms to improve and/or automate threat research workflows. 

In this role, you will obtain key threat intelligence information, synthesizing both technical and non-technical datasets to derive unique insights and author timely reporting related to adversary activity.  Reporting will range from brief descriptions of threat actors and their activity to finished intelligence products for clients and the general public.  This will include proposing subject matter for proactive reporting on threat actor TTPs and trends, as well as leading corresponding reporting efforts.  Additionally, Principal Threat Researchers will support priority intelligence requirements, ensuring Cloudforce One focuses resources and efforts on our clients' most relevant and crucial intelligence needs. 

Strong candidates will have excellent OSINT research skills, substantial experience in Threat Intelligence (in particular, expertise in APTs), a strong technical foundation, practical knowledge of intelligence report writing, demonstrable ability to drive concurrent, interdepartmental projects to completion, and ability to work well in a group of distributed remote team members.

What you'll do as a Zero Trust Solutions Engineer

You will work with our clients to understand their business needs and understand their current applications landscape and access architecture with the goal of helping them develop a security posture that meets their needs while also keeping their employees and assets safe according to the most recent standards in cyber security. You will do this with the technological solutions in the Cloudflare One product portfolio, which encompasses different Zero Trust offerings, including our cutting edge Remote Browser Isolation and email security solutions.

What you’ll do as a Solutions Engineer

You are the technical lynchpin through the entire sales cycle - pre and post sales. You will work closely with our mid-market prospects and customers to educate, empower, and ensure their success on the Cloudflare platform. Your technical expertise in Cloudflare’s global distributed network and technology will allow you to find best-fit solutions for prospects, to train and onboard new customers via video-conference or in person, through documentation, and to support the long-term success of the customer. Account Executives, Business Development Representatives, Solution Engineers, and Customer Success - all working together help our customers adopt Cloudflare and build great Internet-enabled experiences. About the Role

You will drive new business sales by identifying and qualifying target accounts for Cloudflare’s Mid-Market service plan across our Southern European markets (Spain, Italy, Portugal etc.) This is a great opportunity for a Sales Professional to help us build the Sales and Customer Development function at Cloudflare. You will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive engagement with junior through senior levels within network operations, development and technical infrastructure teams.

What you'll do

We are looking for a seasoned sales professional to help us build an Mid-Market Sales team to cover large accounts across the Southern Europe region. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive engagement at all levels with technical and non-technical buyers.

As an Account Executive, you'll be responsible for developing and executing against a comprehensive account/territory plan as well as driving sales in a defined territory and/or account list to achieve revenue targets. The person in this role will also assist in creating and articulating compelling value propositions for Cloudflare services.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Manage contract negotiations.

What you'll do

The Manager of Renewals will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to a highly motivated team of Renewals Managers (RMs) that focus on renewing and managing existing named accounts. Strong sales, customer management, business acumen and the ability to quickly assess and understand a customer’s needs are essential to success in this role, in addition to inspiring, coaching and guiding the team to success. Your team would work through both proactive and reactive activity for the renewal and retention of customers by carefully managing and monitoring their customer base, outreach, forecasting and implementing the correct renewal strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a regional RM team that is focused on customer success, retention, and upsells
  • Guide team through renewal opportunities, forecasting, negotiation and close of renewals prior to contract expiration

We are looking for talented Systems Reliability Engineers to build and operate our Edge platform running in more than 320 cities in over 120 countries. About the department

The Infrastructure department at Cloudflare handles all our data centers and network interconnections around the world, from research and development of our servers, to planning network capacity expansions, to getting our equipment anywhere in the world that it’s needed, to executing new deployments and data center expansions.

The Infrastructure Planning & Capacity Engineering team is part of Cloudflare’s global Infrastructure (INF) team. With any application, however, in addition to serverless compute, you need to be able to manage state. In 2022, Cloudflare released D1 — built on Durable Objects, D1 is Cloudflare’s first serverless database.  In this role, you’ll be helping define and building the future of D1 to enable developers to build full stack applications.

Emerging Technologies & Incubation (ETI) is where new and bold products are built and released within Cloudflare. Rather than being constrained by the structures which make Cloudflare a massively successful business, we are able to leverage them to deliver entirely new tools and products to our customers. Cloudflare’s edge and network make it possible to solve problems at massive scale and efficiency which would be impossible for almost any other organization.

What you'll do

The Durable Objects (DO) team is responsible for DO, Cloudflare's distributed coordination API with strongly consistent storage. In this role, you will work with a top-notch engineering team to expand Cloudflare's capabilities by ensuring continual reliability, maintaining best-in-class performance, and implementing new features and functionality. You will own your code from inception to release, delivering solutions at all layers of the software stack to empower Cloudflare customers. On any given day, you might write a design document that outlines how you plan to solve a specific problem, modify how R2 Storage processes requests, or fix a bug in how our user experience renders. You can expect to interact with a variety of languages and technologies including, but not limited to JavaScript, Typescript, Rust, and C++.

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

  • 10+ years experience working with distributed systems or developing on cloud platforms.
  • An operational mindset - we don't just write code, we also own it in production
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented or functional design.
  • Deep knowledge of at least one systems programming language such as C/C++ or Rust
  • Experience in designing and architecting large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, especially serverless platforms
  • Experience being in a technical leader or operating in a team lead role

Bonus Points

  • Previous experience working on database internals such as a SQL query planner. 
  • Deep understanding of the web and technologies such as web browsers, HTTP, JavaScript and WebAssembly.
  • Experience working in low-latency real time environments such as game streaming, game engine architecture, high frequency trading, payment systems.
  • Experience debugging, optimizing and identifying failure modes in a large-scale Linux-based distributed system.
