We are at the beginning of our journey and need help laying the foundation of Performance Management to become a directly revenue contributing product and drive towards Personio's mission to Enable Better Organizations.


Your tasks and responsibilities in a nutshell

  • Direct contribution to Personio codebase as a frontend engineer, as part of a product team
  • Identifying, documenting, and communicating technical improvements within your area of responsibility in the team
  • Support in the development and reinforcement of frontend engineering standards and guidelines
  • Close collaboration with technical (backend, QA & infrastructure) and non-technical (product, design) roles to understand and challenge end user requirements and ultimately translate these into effective technical solutions
  • Participating in cross-team engineering initiatives as individual contributor
  • Helping with selecting, onboarding, and coaching of junior members of the team

What you need to succeed
  • In-depth experience working on fast-scaling and complex systems
  • Track record in software craftsmanship, test-driven development, clean code, and SOLID design principles
  • Deep knowledge in JavaScript and strong expertise in React and Redux or a similar stack
  • High standards for the quality of UI and experience interpreting and executing on the outcomes of UX research and Product Design
  • Sound experience in automated testing, performance monitoring and optimisation
  • Coaching experience. It’s important for you to learn from and teach peers, and to continuously help junior team members appreciate and apply best engineering and UX practices
  • Driven by impact. You are eager to create customer value

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have extensive experience in debugging frontend code with browser developer tools
  • Qualified candidates must have 2+ years of software development experience in web development and web technologies.
  • Minimum 1 year of AEM experience
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of modern JavaScript SPA frameworks – such as Angular – and with extensive working experience using them building single page applications.
  • Must have working experience with popular front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.

About the project

The project is an independent mortgage comparison platform for brokers in Switzerland, digitalizing and simplifying the brokerage process. By using the application, intermediaries can valuate a given property and compare various mortgage offers in different dimensions in real time. The platform provides an end-to-end solution, supporting advisors throughout the entire financing process.
 

About the team

The team consists of a number of senior professionals, both technical and of a financial background, with significant experience in the mortgage business. You will be working with colleagues from Switzerland, Ukraine and Romania.

  • Design, develop, review, test, maintain and document the product
  • Work closely with the remote software development team
  • Create high-quality, maintainable and clean code

About the project

The client is one of the market’s leaders in providing one stop shop in the Automotive industry that plans and implements turnkey paint shops, final assembly systems, machine, and robot technology.

The scope of the main project of our team is related to resource/energy consumption tracking of different paint shop process areas.

Additionally, we are involved in a second project, QI (Quality Inspection). A webpage base mobile application used by inspectors at a production line that allows quality data input options for car bodies at paint shop.

We have several ongoing projects for this client. In the portfolio we have 6 teams working on different projects.

Your team 

Our team consists of 5 developers, 1 QA, 1 PO (customer), and the Scrum Master.  This autonomous project team has defined a clear way of working by using Scrum with 3 weeks sprint.

  • Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans

Your tasks

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in frontend development
  • Very good knowledge in the field of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3

  • Good knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript backend development with NodeJS
  • Ability to plan complex functionality and write clean code

Hi, Ocasta is a well established friendly, diverse team of developers, designers, product managers and support based around the U.K. with a cluster in Brighton. An opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Front End React developer. As a frontend developer at Ocasta you will play an integral part in our small but skilled team developing the client-side experience for our own products - Capsule (https://www.capsule.ac.uk), Review & Engage (https://ocasta.com/oplift/employee-knowledge-platform).


We are looking for a UK based developer to join our Front End team to create new products and features along with maintaining and improving our existing codebase. Ideally you will have at least 3 years experience working on Front End development with good understanding of JavaScript, HTML and RESTful or GraphQL API’s. All our web clients are written using ReactJS so you should have some experience with this too. You will also have the opportunity to work on our React Native apps. 

 

If you have a proven ability to develop custom solutions, are good at solving problems and learning new skills and have commercial experience in some or all of technologies please get in touch. We are happy to give the right candidate the opportunity to learn and improve in any areas required. As a distributed team we also value good communication skills.


You should also be familiar with the tools required for software development. This includes a good understanding of Git, local development environments, coding standards and general computer maintenance and security. You should be willing to adapt to the processes implemented at Ocasta.
