Advanced Bot Protection is a market leading solution that secures critical assets from undesired automated traffic. This team is responsible for developing distributed and scalable data processing systems to analyze traffic so we can protect from threats. Duties

  • Participate in the team’s agile ceremonies: daily scrum, weekly backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Demo and share your work with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product managers and other software engineers to understand business requirements, user experience goals and pain points.
  • Engage with customers and frontline teams to better understand use cases and pain points.
  • Research new technologies that we want to introduce into our product/tech stack.
  • Engage with other teams of developers within Imperva to ensure a well-performing and seamless experience between ABP and our other products.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a fullstack developer
  • Advanced or expert knowledge of Java backend development using Spring or similar technologies
  • Experience developing with the following technology environments:
    • Streaming (Kinesis, Kafka)
    • Cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc)
    • Containers (ECS/EKS, Kubernetes, etc)

Advantages

  • Experience working with front-end frameworks such as React/AngularJS/VueJS
  • Experience or interest in analytics, dashboards or working in a big data environment
  • Experience designing and deploying schemas/tables in either NoSQL or SQL databases

❓ Role Summary

As a UI Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing the design and development of front-end applications that meet the needs of the user. Your focus will be on building the front end of the application along with our back-end engineers on our team with a focus on scalability, maintainability, reusability and testability.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for working with your delivery team to prioritize, plan and develop features for our application. You will spend a lot of time working with senior software engineers and directors; pushing the team towards the latest tools, technologies, and best practice and laying out the basic code architecture so an offshore team can run with it.

⚡ What you'll do

  • Discuss application features and design ideas with the team
  • Research similar application designs and user interface modules
  • Writing the front-end code and build the user interface, whether on React Native for our mobile application or on React.js
  • Propose new technologies and implement PoC
  • Identify performance & scalability challenges and provide a technical solution
  • Advocate usage of new open source tools/frameworks and percolate the knowledge to the engineering team
  • Debug code errors and troubleshoot software issues
  • Conduct live application tests and tweaks
  • Update web applications in line with user trends

  • 4+ years of experience as a UI Engineer
  • Strong technical ability in React, Javascript, HTML, and CSS. React Native experience will be an asset due to mobile-version approach
  • Experience with Typescript is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of user interface models, application design, and website functionality
  • Understanding of layout aesthetics
  • Good knowledge of cloud hosting tools like Netlify, AWS S3, Cloudflare, Heroku etc.
  • Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable Modules and Components
  • Deep understanding of Web Performance and Web Accessibility
  • Take responsibility for their code: follow through with it and address any issues that result from it in the future
  • Knowledge of industry standard software best practices, development lifecycle processes and Agile and SCRUM methodologies

Responsibilities & Duties


  • Working on our Citywide Enterprise Budgeting system, design and develop backend services and front-end applications.
  • Effective knowledge with web SQL and writing SQL statements and database development, PL/SQL, T-SQL (Transaction SQL) stored procedures, creating and extending functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
  • Recommends or automates approaches to streamline and integrate technological processes and/or systems to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness specific to API development, including testing.
  • Working with other software developers and support staff in order to take product ideas from concept to release.
  • Experience working in an Agile project delivery environment, develops and modifies technology systems, addressing functional, performance, security, quality, operational and monitoring needs.

  • Managing data integrity and quality assurance actives to ensure application stability.
  • Managing self-directed assignments to implement features and resolve software defects to meet schedule commitments with high-level of quality.

  • Recommend and perform software improvements and upgrades.
  • Works with Business Analysts to complete analysis of business requirements, design and development of web applications that are integrated with other modules.

  • Source talents either passive or active using different sourcing channels like LinkedIn, Indeed, Jobstreet, Social Media and other job portals.
  • Conduct screening interviews and facilitate online testing for candidates.
  • Facilitate and coordinate technical interviews with the Hiring Team and candidate.
  • Create and finalize endorsement documents, job offers and contracts.
  • Coordinate, plan and conduct onboarding activities for hired contractors.
  • Lead process improvement efforts in the recruitment process.
    • Manage recruitment analytics and create recruitment generated reports for the management


    Qualification


    • At least 3 years of experience working as Technical Recruiter, either as an Individual Contributor or in a team.
    • Understanding and experience of end to end technical recruitment activities for IT related and other non-IT positions
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to listen and accept constructive criticisms regarding work and performance.
    • Self-starter. WE are a Startup.


    • Has familiarity or experience in handling the following positions/technologies:
      • Mobile Developer (Flutter)
      • Frontend (Angular)
      • Backend Developer (Node.Js)
      • DevOps (GCP, AWS)
      • Web Developer (Wordpress)
    • Knowledge and experience of at least four of the following tools or software (Office 365, Slack, Trello, Basecamp, Monday.com, Zoom, Slack, Time Doctor, Google Drive).


    Educational Attainment


    • Graduate of BS Psychology, Human Resources or equivalent


    Plus-Factors


    • 1 year  working with a Tech Start-Up Company
    • Proven success in an Executive Search Firm/ Head-Hunter setting
    • Experience in hiring for Leadership roles especially for IT.
