Job Description

The ideal Principal Front-End Engineer candidate has extensive user interface development experience and knows how to optimize interactions and user experience.

Your tasks and responsibilities in a nutshell

    • Test cross-browser and cross-device for mobile and desktop sites.
    • Identify, record and track bugs.
    • Learn to fix and run automated tests.

    • Work closely with Product to understand and document user journeys and expected behaviour for test cases. 
    • Contribute to refinement sessions to help the team refine features, advising on test requirements.

    AWH is hiring a Remote Remote Full-Time Front End Developer - Healthcare IoT

    Work on an award-winning IoT healthcare application as part of a smart, fast-paced collaborative team. AWH (awh.net), a 26-year old software engineering firm, is working to help build out the team for our client, IncludeHealth (includehealth.com).
    If you are:

    • A front-end React developer with a track record of from-scratch builds.

    IncludeHealth is on a mission to utilize design and technology to lower the barriers to health. This application is in use today helping veterans rehab from debilitating injuries and we're working on the next iteration that can help even more patients regain mobility and health.

    Experience/Requirements:

    • Build highly performing beautiful interfaces and features using React, HTML, and CSS.
    • Collaborate with software engineers to create and maintain clean, reusable, and secure code.
    • Advise the business regarding technical decisions as we scale.
    • Collaborate with the product team to ideate and develop features.
    • Rapidly produce concepts and prototypes to validate ideas, designing in low or high fidelity as needed.
    • 2+ years of professional experience developing UI for web applications.
    • Expert using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, NextJS, or Vue.
    • Experience with GraphQL/Apollo.
    • Solid understanding of coding standards, OOP/OOD, and design patterns.
    • Core understanding of JavaScript, including ES6 and modern building tools.
    • Extensive knowledge of web technologies like HTTP protocol, CDNs, and server-side cache techniques.
    • Preference to those with experience with TensorFlow or other machine learning libraries.

    Critical Functional Skills, Knowledge and Experience

    • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
    • Ability to work between teams and functions with high autonomy and little guidance.
    • Healthcare and fitness knowledge is a bonus.
    • Entrepreneurial / prior start-up experience.
    • 5+ years of professional experience developing UI for web applications.
    • Expert using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, NextJS, or Vue.
    • Experience with GraphQL/Apollo.
    • Solid understanding of Coding Standards, OOP/OOD, design patterns.
    • Core understanding of JavaScript, including ES6 and modern building tools.
    • Experience with all aspects of testing full-stack applications: unit, feature, and end-to-end.
    • Extensive knowledge of Web technologies like HTTP protocol, CDNs, and server-side cache techniques.
    • Preference to those with experience with TensorFlow or other machine learning libraries.

    We offer:

    • Salary of $60,000 (Entry-Level) to $90,000 (Mid-Level).
