Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance, scalable, reusable and maintainable software

Requirements

  • Able to apply knowledge gained in computer science courses to real world problems

About the Role

In this role, you will: 

  • Manage, design, configure, test, deploy, and support the Customer Support ecosystem comprised of Zendesk, Twilio, Assembled, AgentConnect, and many other technologies
  • Partner with Business Systems Analysts and Product Managers to shape product definition and requirements so that configurations or interfaces can be built in a flexible, extensible, and robust way in addition to assisting in driving technology vision, strategy, and roadmap to build enterprise capabilities (scalability, fault tolerance, extensibility, maintainability, etc.)
  • Lead and mentor technical teams in a continuous Agile approach of integration dev/deploy format
  • Create, update, and manage tasks & stories in JIRA to support day-to-day requests, system issues, and timelines

  • Implement critical interfaces and complex modules of the systems and features while assisting the business and tech teams with disassembling, designing, and configuring Zendesk to meet and address technical requirements and resolve current process issues

  • Onboarding and offboarding users and maintaining roles and permissions
  • Monitor any incidents/outages with Zendesk and share with the audience while taking ownership of the resolution
  • Partner with the software vendors, staying up to date on the new features and technologies, driving and performing the assessment of features for business applicability, and implementing the features.
  • Implement state of art monitoring to maintain the systems 100% up time
  • Provide on-call support as per the team roster

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 4+ years of Zendesk experience as an administrator of the system
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables
  • Strong experience and understanding of Zendesk and out-of-the-box features and capabilities
  • Previous hands-on experience developing mid-tier API systems merging different third-party systems together. Experience with the Zendesk API suite is a huge plus
  • Ability to write technical specifications, define business solutions, and convey ideas to business users in a meaningful yet insightful manner is extremely important
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills and proven success in a dynamic and collaborative environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy:Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles.  For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually. 

We pay for performance, and top performers in eligible roles may receive above-market equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market positioning.

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

It will be a key position in 350.org’s Product Team - a team dedicated to providing the right tools at the right time, and to empowering 350 staff to use them for maximum possible impact in the world.

As a global grassroots organisation, our sites and platforms are multilingual and the content is generally maintained by staff outside the Product Team. We use web, sms, whatsapp and other channels to reach out supporters. Different regions rely on different communication channels - we aim to support them all.

You’ll be developing solutions and tools for organizers on the ground, digital campaigners and local groups and affiliates.  To be successful you’ll need to combine and integrate tools, get data where it needs to be and create workflows that meet users where they are - not force them to adapt to the software.

Flexible - remote. But must be located within 5 hours (+/-) of GMT. For example, in one of the following timezones: North, Central and South America, Europe and Africa. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Front end development using HTML5 / CSS and modern javascript.
  • Creating templates for campaigners to create petitions and other campaigning tactics.

You’ll be working on a team with 2-3 other frontend developers and collaborating closely with our Backend, Product, CTO, and Design teams.

In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced E-Commerce Site Optimization Manager to join our Product Management team.In this position, you will help drive digital optimization for both B2B and B2C efforts via executing and refining optimization and relevancy campaigns, providing insights and analysis, developing new optimization strategies and adjusting key performance metrics. The role also requires providing analyses on E-Commerce A/B testing and other optimization initiatives while partnering and communicating with relevant stakeholders.   • Providing detailed and accurate reporting to the E-Commerce, Marketing and Merchandising teams, as well as other stakeholders   
  • Reviewing data sets and reports for accuracy, validity and data integrity (assisting with the data QA process)   
  • Using excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to communicate across departments and all levels of management
