Airtable is hiring a Remote Senior Technical Revenue Accountant

Airtable is seeking a Senior Technical Revenue Accountant to join our growing Revenue Accounting organization. In this role, you will be reporting to the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting and will be responsible for owning many of the critical revenue accounting functions around contract reviews and supporting deal close processes, documentation of accounting positions, supporting month end close / reconciliations, and annual audit support. You will also be expected to assist with continuous process improvements within the OTC cycle and will play a key role in helping to scale the revenue accounting function at Airtable.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk teams to ensure alignment between contractual terms and revenue recognition principles
  • Assess new product offerings and go-to-market strategies for revenue considerations
  • Review contracts and ensure proper revenue recognition treatment, including documentation of non-standard revenue transactions and performing revenue adjustments
  • Identify and drive process improvements within the overall Quote to Cash process, including system improvements and automation projects
  • Assist with accounting close and reporting process, including financial statement preparation, analysis, and management reporting
  • Research accounting guidance and draft technical accounting memos to conclude on the company’s key revenue positions
  • Support annual audits; preparation of audit schedules and reconciliations and support ad-hoc audit requests
  • Provide technical guidance to operational revenue accounting team (billing & collections)

Who you are

  • Minimum of 4+ years of revenue accounting experience in high-growth SaaS industry, including a minimum of 2 years at a public accounting firm; Big 4 experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study; CPA is preferred 
  • Working knowledge of general accounting concepts and ASC 606; contract review and revenue recast experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel is required, knowledge and experience with Workday and Salesforce is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experienced with working with various stakeholders or cross-functional departments

Airtable is hiring a Remote Developer Support Engineer

Airtable is seeking an enthusiastic Developer Support Engineer to help resolve our customers' most critical technical issues. As a DeveloperSupport Engineer, you are an integral part of the customer experience and Airtable's success. We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping others build on Airtable - from users new to software development to experienced engineers building complex solutions. 

In this role, you’ll primarily communicate with customers over email and phone to help them resolve their API integrations, scripting, and other technical issues.  You will relay product feedback, usage trends, and issues internally as a stakeholder to inform company actions. This role requires a love of learning, deep curiosity, and clear communication skills. 

The role can be remote.  As a member of Airtable’s Support team, this role has fixed shifts to meet the needs of our global customers.  There may be a requirement to work outside normal business hours (evenings/weekends/holidays). Travel options/opportunities.

What you’ll do

  • Provide exceptional technical support for Airtable developers with APIs, scripts, SDKs, and technical integrations. 
  • Provide exceptional technical support for all Airtable customers by troubleshooting, resolving, and performing root cause analysis. 
  • Act as a liaison between our developer community and our engineering and product teams by filing clear and concise bug reports and surfacing feedback. 
  • Help turn customer and product feedback into actionable product recommendations to inform future Product, Growth, Marketing, and Customer Support initiatives.
  • Develop Airtable product expertise, learning to model any workflow, from editorial calendars for major publications to fire truck inventories for fire departments.
  • Develop knowledge articles related to common technical issues and identify areas for improvement in our self-serve documentation and tooling.
  • Anticipate customer needs and problems before they surface; develop deep customer intuition to empower Airtable’s customers to achieve their goals.
  • Help train and educate internal teams where there are knowledge gaps.

Who you are

  • Proficient in at least one high-level programming language such as Javascript, Python, or Java.
  • Ability to understand other high-level programming languages as needed.
  • 2-6 experience in a customer-facing role dealing with technical issues.
  • Advanced technical troubleshooting skills and experience with logging tools such as Opensearch. 
  • Experience with web services (REST).
  • Experience with IPAAS.
  • You are detail-oriented and possess critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • You are independent and can work in ambiguous situations.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate l complex technical topics into something clear and succinct for the target audience.

Bonus points if

  • You have experience in TypeScript, React, or Node.js.
  • You have software development experience.
  • You have experience setting up and using Airtable (personally or professionally).
  • You created processes, tools, and communication channels enabling the Developer Community.
  • You are familiar with SSO and user management systems (e.g. Okta).

Who you are

  • You have 8+ years of quota carrying SaaS sales experience within a SaaS company selling software solutions into multiple industries
  • 3+ years selling into the Enterprise segment
  • Track record of overachieving quota across 6-8 quarters, and at least 1-2 quarters of strong overachievement
  • Experience selling to central buying/IT teams and managing stakeholders in Procurement and Legal. As well as, developing and deepening relationships with C-level, Exec and VP stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully and repeatedly close 6-figure ARR deals in a competitive market 
  • You have strong prospecting, account planning, and experience selling into teams
  • You have owned complex deals with named accounts (5000+ FTEs) 
  • You thrive partnering with business leaders and executives, developing long term relationships and aligning key stakeholders company-wide at each stage of the sales lifecycle
  • You are consultative and able to navigate the complexities and needs of clients across industries, size and lifecycles
  • Strong communication and executive presence. Very comfortable presenting to a room, engaging and influencing executive decision makers
