Join us as our new Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Central and Western US! 

Your mission: 

As an SME at SOPHiA GENETICS, you will be critical in supporting our Sales Executive's throughout the sales cycle with deep, technical knowledge of our products and applications across Genomic and NGS Workflow. 

The Role: 

  • Partner closely with Sales Executives as a product technical expert to support, drive and close sales opportunities. 
  • Deliver platform demonstrations and technical presentations to customers and participate in trade shows, vendor shows and technical/promotional seminars. 
  • Lead client wet lab trainings and drive product evaluations. 
  • Provide expert knowledge across the full range of SOPHiA GENETICS products and applications, including AI SaaS Solutions to manage and interpret NGS Biomarkers and Laboratory Preparation. 
  • Gather and share competitive market intelligence and drive continuous product development in collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Product Management. 
  • Support our expansion into multimodal data, providing customer solutions across Genomics, Radiomics, Proteomics, Metabolomics, and Transcriptomics 

Your Background:

  • Previous industry experience in commercial technical support role linked to Genomics, including Technical Specialist, Subject Matter Expert, Field Application Specialist or Clinical Application Consultant. 
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of genomics, next-generation sequencing technologies, and related applications. 
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant scientific field such as Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, or similar. Masters or PhD preferred. 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and scientific advancements. 
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%

Your mission:

  • At least 5 years of experience in computational biology. Ability to understand the inner workings of state-of-the-art algorithms related to variant prioritization and variant effect prediction.
  • Working knowledge of cancer genomics and/or medical genomics is a must. Demonstrated experience in a clinical genetics or genetic diagnostic setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience in communicating complex scientific principles in simple terms to varied audiences.
  • Competence in programming languages common in the bioinformatics field (e.g. Python, R), demonstrated experience in reproducible research (routine use of code versioning, environment configuration tools and scientific workflows).

 Your Mission

Reporting to the VP, Legal Affairs you will provide a broad range of legal administrative support, ranging from commercial contract lifecycle management, support on internal queries and involvement in corporate administrative processes.

  •  Overseeing the contract lifecycle process, including planning, collaboration, negotiation, execution and coordinate the signing process for contracts and other legal documents
  • Ensure proper filing of legal documents - Execute administrative and operational processes for the legal team and Keep the legal management database up to date (corporate, contracts, IP)
  • Maintain and file corporate records, including resolutions, proxies, board of director changes, annual reports, etc
  • Assist with the preparation of appropriate draft documents, including agendas, corporate resolutions and meeting minutes for board of director and committee meetings

  •  2-5 Years experience within a Legal Administrative role – Both practice and in-house experience is valid
  • Direct exposure to the negotiation and management of commercial contracts is needed.

Your Mission

As an Implementation Scientist, you will be directly responsible for onboarding new customers across the territory onto the SOPHiA GENETICS platform & product ecosystem via our MaxCare Program methodology. You will work cross-functionally to ensure seamless project execution, integration, and adoption of our genomic analysis platform and tools. 

Reporting to the Head of Professional Services, you will work autonomously and collaboratively alongside colleagues for both pre- and post-sale coordination.

  • Partner with technical and Sales colleagues to understand customer requirements and draft a Statement of Work (SOW) 
  • Project manage all activities leading to successful execution of a MaxCare Program, including creation of schedules and timelines, defining sampling strategies and supporting customers through issue resolution 
  • Coordinate technical and executive stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally 
  • Provide all onboarding support & technical training throughout the customer-defined NGS workflow 
  • Drive customer satisfaction through first routine run, and support ongoing application training 

Your Background:

  • Must be fluent to a business level in both English and French
  • BSc, MSc or PhD in a relevant field such as Genetics, Molecular Biology, Oncology or similar 
  • Direct experience with Next-Generation Sequencing, library preparation, bioinformatics, and related consumables and products is critical 
  • You will be logical, process-focused, and detail-orientated, capable of building, defining and upholding MaxCare Program timelines 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required 
  • Previous working knowledge in a Commercial Technical support role linked to Genomics, including Field Applications Scientist, Clinical Application Consultant, Technical Specialist/Advisor or Subject Matter Expert within a Clinical Diagnostics, Biotech or Medical environment is highly valuable, but not required
