Some key responsibilities in the role include:

  • Inspire, manage, and lead a team of direct reports across the group
  • Build strong relationships with key leaders and influencers to build a network (both formal and informal) of health and safety champions globally
  • Provide coaching and support to ensure the health and safety management systems and actions taken are integrated within the organization's risk management framework
  • Oversee the health and safety management systems and ensure we maintain a controlled environment where risks are known and controls improving
  • Maintain the framework for regional and functional consultation and participation across all levels of the organization through appropriate channels, including improvement forums/committees and health and safety representatives.
  • Develop effective communication processes using organizational tools such as the intranet, systems and safety alerts
  • Enhance, evolve and maintain a system to manage the potential health and safety risks, support the group leadership team perform risk assessments and their due diligence

 

 

 

Qualifications

What we need from you

  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to share the importance of a goal and bring others on the journey
  • Proven strength in management and relationship/team building skills across a dispersed national and global team
  • 10+ years of experience in health and safety preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experienced in applying operational excellence processes preferably in a multi-site or similarly complex organization
