About the role

The Ireland Business Development Manager role is responsible for the whole Sales Process for TOMRA Collection Ireland, from prospecting, to the signing of the contract, through to order fulfilment and ongoing customer relationships, within the assigned market segment of customers in Ireland. The BDM must have a strong background in the Capital equipment/ FMCG market in Ireland

Your focus will evolve in 3 key stages

Firstly, to build up the new market by making contact with retailers primarily and initiating relationships that can lead to new business for TOMRA Collection. This will include field sales work, cold calling and building a sales pipeline

Secondly, managing the sales process through to contract completion

Thirdly, once customers are secured, to provide ongoing customer relationship management to selected key accounts in Ireland and progress to other growth opportunities with new and existing customers

Reporting to the Senior Sales Team Lead, Ireland, You will work closely with the Service and Operations teams to ensure an optimal flow of the new customer relationships throughout these stages.

Responsibilities:

  • To achieve the set turnover, product mix and profit goals in your assigned territory    (East Coast)
  • Always represent TOMRA Collection Ireland in a professional manner in accordance with overall TOMRA Values and Policies
  • Identify potential customers and establish commercial contact with the relevant decision-makers within those organisations
  • Represent TOMRA Collection at events and trade shows primarily in Ireland as well as occasionally in wider UK to build customer relationships and present new & existing products
  • Oversee and own the full sales to installation processes: sell, customer set up, order capture, pre-install info to service, post install follow-up call/visit etc
  • Remain informed on industry activity both locally and nationally.
  • Be a champion for sustainability and our environment.

Business Travel Expectations:

  • Regular travel to customer sites (offices, stores) along the East Coast as needed
  • Occasional international travel with overnight night stay

  • Actively set-up and drive initiatives to meet sourcing & sales objectives
  • Strategically intensify contacts within our European waste & recycling network but also research for and establish new partnerships with incinerators
  • Conduct feasibility tests with potential input material and analyze outcome
  • Successfully lead commercial negotiations and close agreements accordingly to secure input material

     

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of working experience in a similar role in analyzing waste / recycling plants to fulfill sourcing needs 
  • Understanding of recycling processes and specifics of plastic waste 
  • Knowledge related to purchasing of input materials management is appreciated
  • Strong communication skills adapting per target group, being fluent in English with German and / or another European language as a plus

The service department is responsible for ensuring the ultimate customer satisfaction; This is through the excellent execution of the installation and commissioning of the equipment, ensuring the equipment is properly maintained and stays in maximized performance.

You, as a service engineer, are passionate about technical issues, driven to resolve them and you don’t mind getting your hands dirty. You have a higher technical education: mechanics, electrical mechanics, electricity, electronics and/or experience in a similar position. With a dedicated technical training of specific knowledge, you can rapidly convert your industrial customer service experience and technical expertise to machine top performance both on technical and application aspects. MainResponsibilities:

  • Be the first contact point for various after sales issue.
  • Install new or modified equipment at customer facilities to ensure full functionality according to specifications
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, internal and external associates, and management.
  • you provides training for customers in connection with our machines: both hardware and software
  • You are responsible for the preparation of spare-parts lists, reports, etc.
  • Main working territory will be Thailand, SEA and some other parts of Asia.

Qualifications

Main Requirments:

  • University degree in Electrical, Software, Mechanical engineering or similar
  • At least 3 years or more of electrical software and mechanical background/customer facing work experience required.
  • Fluent in Thai and English, Chinese will be a strong plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with customers
  • Troubleshooting, and follow-up skills. excellent technical problem-solving, Self-driven, pro-active and target oriented working style with a high willingness to perform
  • Superior computer and software operating system skills (Microsoft family)

  • Work experience in an industrial environment with a focus on on-site preventive and curative maintenance would be a big plus.
