This role is to provide digital & print advertising strategies and solutions to support DealerOn marketing initiatives. High Flying Foods is looking for a temporary, contracted Graphic Designer to immediately join our creative teamThis assignment will last approximately 5 months (September - January) with the potential to go full-time afterwards depending on workload. 

The Graphic Designer will support the Creative Director by executing an approved concept across the suite of deliverables.  This is a chance to work with a team, receive mentorship, contribute to recognized brands, and participate in a fast-paced environment.  The Graphic Designer must be creative, be able maintain brand style, work on multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain attention to detail.  The position requires keen typographic skills as well as full knowledge of preparing files for export to print or digital use.  The appropriate candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in ensuring all communications across various channels and departments remain consistent and align with strategic company-wide goals.

  • Strong portfolio of work that demonstrates expertise across print, typography, and iconography.
  • Excellent understanding of the design and print production process.  Experience with digital and interface design is a plus.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Role Summary

What we need from you:

Your Mission:

BURST is looking for an Email Graphic Designer who can easily craft intuitive marketing experiences and user interfaces for email, text messaging, and digital platforms. You have experience designing both image-based and HTML-coded emails that are both marketing and transactional in nature. You will be responsible for the design and templating of emails, so the ideal candidate has experience with ESPs (Klaviyo, Iterable, Mail Chimp, etc.) HTML coding and templating conditional statements, and workflow building. What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver production for all assigned email communication needs, including preparing visual assets, creating mocks and templates, and making revisions
  • Create, manage, and optimize the content needed to operate multi-channel CRM campaigns (email and text messaging) that respect brand guidelines.
  • Have an understanding of best practices in responsive design, usability, accessibility, and email standards.
  • Sync with the CRM Copywriter to ensure the look and feel of all outgoing communications is in-line with the tone and voice of our overall CRM vision.
  • Create assets based on current market content and CRM campaigns’ goals and instructions.
  • Work with internal marketing teams and creative agencies to get both original creative and additional template work done and ensure that all content matches best practices.
  • Ensure all content is localized, copy edited, and abides by legal requirements.
  • Establish best practices on all types of content produced, propose regular optimization and testing scenarios (A/B), and implement a quality management process to ensure all content is consistently executed to spec.
  • Work on additional digital content within the CRM sphere - landing pages, email and text marking pop-ups, email preferences pages, digital imagery, etc.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, technology, or a related fine arts field
  • 2+ years of relevant email/design experience with expertise in HTML/CSS preferred

This Digital Graphic Design position produces the design of digital-website and digital-marketing assets, email and promotional materials, social media content, blog graphics, and other projects for the Ecommerce & Digital Marketing team. This position is a freelance to hire opportunity. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Plan, produce, and provide creative direction for global Ecommerce sites, digital marketing campaigns, new product launches, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Craft on-brand, cohesive, and effective creative assets needed to support: global websites, social campaigns, digital marketing, email blasts.
  • Ensure a high level of creativity in all work produced, ensures quality of work and style is consistent and cohesive – both within the Ecommerce department and cross-departments (with Education, Marketing & Social departments).
  • Create wire frames, prototypes, and mock-ups for emails, landing pages, site & social needs.
  • Manage creative request workflow by prioritizing projects, delegating to team members, managing cross-departmental routing of artwork for approvals, enforcing request standards, managing timelines.


  • Extensive hands-on brand and graphic design experience in a digital field.
  • Deep experience using Adobe Creative Suite; Sketch experience a plus.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic work environment with a start-up mentality.
  • Experience with design project management – must have previous role managing creative workflow, including prioritization, reviewing copy/graphics and the approval process.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Photo retouching skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to take direction and work closely with team members – both within and across departments.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Location: West Los Angeles (required to work in company office when it is safe to do so)
