In this role you will be focusing on cutting-edge projects in simulation software engineering and AI-driven scientific research. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Unreal Engine, C++, React, .NET Core, and machine learning frameworks, with a strong background in developing immersive simulations and contributing to AI-driven scientific research initiatives. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex simulation environments using Unreal Engine, focusing on domains such as robotics, autonomous vehicles, and drones. 
  • Utilize C++ and Unreal Engine's features to create high-quality simulation environments and assets, ensuring realism and immersion. 
  • Integrate and communicate with various sensors, actuators, and middleware using ROS 2 in distributed systems. 
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design and implement efficient large-scale distributed computational modeling methods for scientific applications. 
  • Develop and maintain robust solutions for machine learning and scientific research involving large volumes of heterogeneous data. 
  • Design and implement web applications using React, .NET Core, and Azure, ensuring performance, quality, and responsiveness. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features for web applications. 
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and maintain code quality, organization, and automation. 
  • Stay updated with new technology trends and best practices in web development and simulation engineering. 

Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine (5.0 preferred) with 5+ years of professional experience, including experience in developing realistic simulations. 
  • Expertise in C++, with strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and memory management. 
  • Familiarity with ROS 2 and ability to integrate and communicate with various sensors, actuators, and middleware. 
  • Experience in React, .NET Core, and Microsoft Azure for web application development. 
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, RESTful API development, and front-end build pipelines. 
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. 
  • Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills. 

Education/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or relevant field required. 
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in simulation software engineering and/or AI-driven scientific research. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Machine Learning and NoSQL databases preferred for AI-driven research initiatives. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, or related field for AI-driven scientific research role. 
  • Experience with Bicep scripting language for Azure deployment in simulation engineering role. 
  • In-depth understanding of machine learning frameworks and distributed systems for scientific research role. 

Salary Range 

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $115,000 to $122,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.

This person will sit on the Requirements and Analysis team within the Product Safety and Release organization. The Senior Systems Engineer - Safety will analyze hazards and risks, perform safety analyses, derive requirements, and develop the safety case for autonomous driving. 

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with the Product and System Engineering teams to identify and evaluate hazards related to Safety Of The Intended Functionality (SOTIF according to ISO 21448).
  • Support analysis and evaluation of Acceptance Criteria for identified SOTIF hazards.
  • Collaborate with the Product and System Engineering teams to perform the hazard analysis and risk assessment (HARA) according to ISO 26262.
  • Analyze and evaluate the Fault Tolerant Time Interval (FTTI) for identified hazards.
  • Perform inductive and deductive safety analyses for system, hardware, and software.
  • Contribute to the development of the Safety Case including definition and tracking of Safety Performance Indicators.
  • Work with internal business partners such as the Systems Engineering team to establish alignment on safety processes and methods. 
  • Conduct and support reviews of safety artifacts applying appropriate level of rigor to review process.

What You’ll Need to Succeed: 

  • Degree(s) in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with relevant experience.
    • PHD with 5+ years of experience.
    • Master of Science degree with 7+ years of experience.
    • Bachelor of Science degree and 10+ years of experience. 
  • Extensive experience with safety analyses such as HAZOP, FMEA, STPA, and FTA. 
  • Solid understanding of industry standards and best practices related to autonomous technologies.   
  • Demonstrated experience working according to key industry standards such as Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Safety Of The Intended Functionality (ISO 21448). 
  • Systems thinking with underlying engineering knowledge of the complex physical and software systems used in autonomy technologies. 
  • Knowledge in the following disciplines: software engineering, networking, electrical and mechanical systems, system components, and artificial intelligence/machine learning.

Job Description


Purpose:
The Head of Product Management is a member of the Executive Team working collaboratively with other functional leaders to set the strategy for Lingraphica, and work with our teams to execute and meet goals aligned with the strategy.  This role is responsible for leading the product management, product design, product training, product support, and research teams, driving the strategic direction of our consumer AAC device and applications. Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality products that meet the needs of our users. Plays a key role in partnering with the product development team in implementing and optimizing CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery) processes to ensure efficient and seamless product development and deployment. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the Product team, providing guidance and support to help them succeed in their roles, meet goals and develop professionally 

  • Develop and execute on the product strategies that align with company strategy 

  • Collaborate with engineering, sales and marketing in Clinical and Consumer business units, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and priorities 

  • Drive empowered product teams from the process of ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products that meet users’ needs and improve the quality of their lives 

  • In partnership with Vice President, Technology, implement and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery processes to streamline product development and deployment 

  • Monitor key performance metrics and use data-driven insights to iterate on product features and improve user experience 

  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation 

  • Serve as a champion for the voice of the customer, advocating for their needs and preferences throughout the product lifecycle 

  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Education & Experience: 

  • Masters degree in Product Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Proven track record of success leading a Product Management function and moving consumer software products from concept to launch 

  • Experience with and/or knowledge of AAC preferred 

  • Experience working in agile development environments and familiarity with agile methodologies 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams 
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize, and communicate the why behind decisions and priorities with various stakeholders 

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data to drive product decisions 

  • Strong understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices in product development

Salary Range 

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $168,000 to $185,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
